  • Since when is loitering and disturbing the peace considered 'peaceful protest.'

  • police were too kind for you, should have kicked your asses!

  • These fucking losers should shave, shower, get a decent haircut, put on deodorant, and occupy a cash register at McDonalds. Shame on these assholes for being lazy, stinky, spoiled, annoying, and useless.

  • Occupy position "I want rich people to pay my college tuition because I hate the word "no". My parents always gave me everything that I want. Shame on all rich people who don't pay our bills !!!"

  • The Dads of everyone involved in occupy should have pulled out and blown their load on the back of their mothers asses instead of creating these fucking idiots

  • Hey TaihenKaihen........Shut the fuck up. The adults are talking.

  • Stop talking and start swinging your fist!

  • they were loitering O.o

  • where is the brutality? these cops handled this very well. they could of beat the shit out of people like OCNY but they didn't the only time it got a lil rough is when the one chubby guy tries to resist arrest. but was this an over use of the law? slightly. This was a peaceful protest. no need to make arrest.

  • if this is a public space then the police have no right breaking up or even touching american citizens

  • fuck occupy......bunch of stinky lazy spoiled losers.......hose them all down with mace

  • @xb5jb7 you suck

  • where is the brutality. the people were asked to move on (a legal request for the police to make), they refused, and were arrested, end of story.

  • @robdoran287 it also is a legal stipulation that the american public is allowed to protest as long as its in a non-violent way. which this appears to be.

  • @robdoran287 Kid have you ever heard about the first amendment? If not you should read up on that.

  • we out number

    99% to 1

  • I'm all for freedom; but hippies is a bit over my taste...

  • I see fools getting arrested, but I see no brutality.

  • This is not brutality. Morons.

  • Does any one who lives in Riverside ever been harrassed by the cops while walking down the street ?

I have many times, I just want to know that I am not the only one this happens to.

Apparently, one of their job description is top harrass people

  • @DamianLeon123 I have. I was doing nothing, and they racially profiled me. Messed up man =(.

  • These officers are very well trained and it showed in their restraint, well done!

As for the protesters, some of them are well trained as well, in how to provoke an incident and to claim they have been victimized. But those people are not the ones there day after day; mostly I just see the lost and the walking wounded hanging out waiting for the evening meal.

  • If you think there was brutality in this video, then you don't know what brutality is.

No sissies are going to win a revolution. Go home kiddies.

  • We should all converge on a city when cops are removing the core group surround the cops and beat them to a pulp.

  • @tomebaden that will show them how educated you are. Then you will get shot and cry while you bleed.

  • power to the people- amber jones john w north high school riverside california

  • Notice how the cowards head right for the women first...

  • People are unhappy because they didn't try hard enough and weren't successful....they wouldn't be protesting if they tried harder in school

  • MOSH PIT

  • bah ram u

  • makes me want to be a policeman just to stop all these protesting idiots

  • Lol what'd u think was gunna happen

  • Can someone please tell me which law the protesters are breaking?

  • These police are really professional. I've seen much worse. I bet the protestors were later released without charges. You want PB you should see the video of the "illegal" dancing in the Jefferson Memorial.

  • Just another bunch of unskilled passionless hippy losers who are unable to start a corporation on their own (and thus are destined for a lifetime of poorness). Only morons believe you have to be rich to get richer. Most of the insanely rich started with absolutely squat, see. Nothing to see here, folks.

  • @ClockIsRunningOut You're kidding...right? You have to be kidding. Most of the insanely rich started out insanely rich, and the few exceptions are advertised as the majority again and again.

The system isn't how you want it to be and never will. Start poor, stay poor.

  • I can't believe they can hold automatic weapons on protestors and yell at them to get back! There's no reason for it!! This is about to get nastier, I can feel it!

  • "You say get back we say fight back"

... yeah that's a great thing to say to the cops.

  • Thank you Riverside Police Officers, for keeping our streets clean of these scumbags.

  • These protestors must all have been soccer players at some point. They are all great actors.

  • @PurplexSour If these people protesting are the future, then I weep for my children.

  • Haha this video is awesome. Nothing makes me happier after a long days work than seeing some pathetic dirty hippies getting owned...

  • I love the idea behind the protests, but I'm not seeing any police brutality in this particular video. From what I could see, nobody in that chain was intent on being broken up without resisting. When you try to resist arrest, police are required to be more forceful to secure your cooperation. But hey, hopefully there were no injuries.

  • Waaa!! He pushed me away! Waaa!! Police brutality! Waaa!! This is so funny.

  • it divided not defeated you dumb asses get it right!

  • your will power and beliefs are not match for the police

  • I'm on the side of the protesters . . . but guys, those police were very professional and controlled. that was not police brutality. . .

  • Lol actually do something...instead just sitting there screaming shame

  • Government big enough to supply every thing you need. Is big enough to take every thing you have………. The course of history shows that as a government grows liberty decreases!! Thomas Jefferson

  • power to the people its time!!!!!!!!

  • I saw no instance of any brutality at all! I suggest you do what your parents did...and get a job sir.

  • Is Breezy ok? :(

  • ALL CULTURES UNITE!

    NO MORE WAR!

    NO MORE INTEREST RATES!

NO MORE PROFITEERING ON THE ESSENTIALS OF LIFE!

    NO MORE STOCK MARKET!

  • what law are these people breaking? At what point do the police just give up and join in on the movement or simple go home? These protesters will not be silenced! We are seeing the beginning of our revolution!

  • Riverside has a history of Police Brutality and corruption. In the 70's they overlooked major prostitution houses that even dared to use red lights. How many innocent people who have been victims of these plastic Badges as it must be in the thousands. Riverside Citizens know this to be true and resistance is long overdue. BTW Mayor, You will not be re-elected and the Police admin will be fired

  • Best way to protest is to stop buying useless shit from China and stop paying taxes to fund the pig paycheck. All you are doing now is providing revenue

  • YOUR PUBLIC SQUARE HAS BEEN ANNEXED & OCCUPIED. IT IS NOW RETURNED TO THE PEOPLE, I DO NOT RECOGNIZE YOUR JURISDICTION OR YOUR CODES AND ORDINANCES, I DO RECOGNIZE MY FREEDOM TO ASSEMBLE PEACEFULLY, THE RIVERSIDE POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS FAILED TO UPHOLD THEIR OATH "TO SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION AGAINST ALL ENEMIES FOREIGN OR DOMESTIC" WE ARE TAKING BACK OUR POWER FROM THE OLIGARCHY !!!

  • It's illegal to have tents up on the mall. They asked you nicely to take them down, you refused. They asked again, refused. They moved your arms, you resisted. They were doing their jobs in a professional manner, and you guys are idiots for not moving. I'm a liberal. You guys are retarded.

  • @MaxwellGreene1 Its a tent....who does it hurt?

  • @jongib369 It doesn't hurt anybody. But it's against the law, and the law is there for a reason. The mall is a public space for everyone, they don't want tents up everywhere infringing on space for locals and tourists to have to walk around. I mean, I get where they're are coming from, but they knew what was gonna happen, I think they were just looking to make trouble. Protest in a reasonable manner is all I'm saying, the cops weren't trying to be dicks

  • Market forces refuse to feed the hungry, tend to the sick, shelter the homeless, and clothe the naked. I have witnessed Occupy Riverside feed the hungry, tend to the sick, and shelter the homeless, and clothe the naked.

The RPD resents that we thwart the emotional/physical brutality of market forces so it attacked the People's Food Tent.

The attack by the RPD on The People's Food Tent gives the action its eponymous name: "The RPD's Attack on the People's Food Tent."

    It is now Riv. history.

  • @chevyyyyyyy Those homeless people stole money from the donations jar, stole bikes, laptops and ipods, and stood around drunk and shouting during general assembly. While it is good that they were being taken care of, the homeless people refuse to change their ways and abuse everything they are given.

  • These people didnt put their hands on anyone.. The cops touched them first initiating response.

  • @xoxspliff You can't stand there and stop the police from doing their jobs. The police were told to take down the tents, and these people were standing in their way, not letting them do their jobs. If police were told to investigate a murder scene, you aren't allowed to bar their entry into the room.

  • police are the pawns of wealthy elite but i still think its going to get very violent soon

  • I love how all the protesters are using corporate made cellphones, with signed contracts to video the police doing their job, making those cell phone companies even richer. lol - Kind of ironic.

  • @leonc100 yeah, and typing from a Mac means you're advocating child and slave labor in China. If you haven't known about it, Apple is notorious for employing children who work extra hours in their factories in China.

    Gotta love the logic...

  • And its not fair to say that "Cops" are all evil and terrorist, when there is a fine line between Cops who use their power to eliminate crime, and Cops who are corrupt and use their power for unjust reasons. Police aren't cowards they are following orders because they have to make a living as well. People can call our troops brave, but call the police cowards. WTF?

  • OMG wtf with the double post. lol

  • @PaulRon2008 Im sorry yeah i have to defend and say what is happening in this country is bad. But has it ever once occur to you that sometimes the people doing the dirty work do not always want to do it. I mean there was no Police brutality because the Police weren't deriving pleasure from what they were doing. And sometimes they are just doing what they are told to do, no "If"s, "And"s, or "But"s. They too have an income to make and can't defy their orders, that's insubordination.

  • RIVERSIDE UNITE!

    GENERAL STRIKE!

ONE LOVE OCCUPY WALL STREET RIVERSIDE

  • That was brutal? Wow...I'm pretty sure I didn't see a single punch, kick, baton strike, taser, pepper ball, rubber bullet, or even a push. I support the Occupy concept, but the hyperbole hurts the credibility of the protestors.

  • I understand you're trying to get a valid point across and that you have all the right in the world to stage a peaceful protest, but I can't help but raise an eyebrow at the title of this video. Police "brutality"? Seriously? Aside from one officer unnecessarily wielding a firearm and another dude getting accidentally half-sat on it seems pretty calm & straightforward to me. Well, as calm as it can be with you lot screaming bloody murder every time an officer so much as lays his pinky on you...

  • Keep Fightin Comrades!!1 ~All Power to the People~

  • I know its a bit of a side-note but does anyone know why the police are wearing green in the US now, like they're in the army or something? Are these guys military police in the US (we have them in the UK but they don't enforce law on streets)

  • holy crap at the 2 min mark I swear that IS the cop from Super Troopers

    we want JUSTICE

    RIGHT MEOW!

  • "The Battle of the People's Kitchen" Thank you RPD for giving us so much publicity!

  • Again they wanted this to happen people , bc they werent getting any attention from the cops so what did they do. They protested in front of the police station the night or two before. And what do the police have to do with our economy crashing nothing. Yeah they just wanted their war story.

  • Ha ha ... what a joke. You Occupy people act like a bunch of old whiny grandmothers. I hope the police swoop this nation and give all of you "rubber shampoos" across your thick skulls. You deserve it for acting like the despot brats and vermon in our society. Grow up and stop acting you just peed in your pants.

  • The War on Terror is over. These brutal and silly Cops (Just Following Orders like Nazis) are now engaged in A WAR ON TENTS. Those who Occupy the Tents are the enemy because they are TENTORRISTS!

  • Fascist cops(the kids)

  • so i remember the reason bushes invaded Iraq is because of spreading liberty and freedom of speech.

  • I don't know why people say "Shame" and "shame on you" to cops.. The first and most important requirement to become a cop is an absolute lack of any sense of shame or limits to one's personal behavior.

  • @morningcorw I completely agree. Look me up on facebook. I argue passionately in situations of police brutality. However in the legal sense, these officers are actually acting within the confines of their use of force policy. The Oakland police acted CRIMINALLY, and I condemn them. I'm for change.

  • @fattonysullivan Thanks for clarifying...I will look you up. I look forward to changes in many of our disfunctional civic and governmental systems, such that they will one day honor human dignity first and foremost. The Iroquois Nation made decisions based on what was good for the next seven generations. I think that is a good model. :-)

  • My ancestors on both sides of my family have been in this country since the 1600's. This video, and others like it from around the country, sicken me. This is not the America that my ancestors worked so very hard for, sacrificed for. Remember the Stanford Prison Experiment and the Milgrim study. If you don't know what they are look them up - very revealing in this situation.

  • I can't wait until the U.S army rains on these police. then we'll see who's BOSS!

  • Land of the free ha ha What a Joke! I thought Americans had the right to protest? Obviously NOT!!

  • "Police brutality", this is not. I'd be the first to say it if the video showed officers acting outside of their Use of Force policy (as they definitely did in Oakland), but that's not the case here. Legally, anyway.

  • @fattonysullivan A lawyer once reminded me that we have no justice system in America. We have a legal system. That means that who ever can pay an attorney can get what they want - right or wrong. There are many things that are and have been "legal" in this country that were not just. It took persons or groups to point it out. What about Rosa Parks? She stood up for a human right and was arrested because of legality. But she was right and things changed!!!

  • That's why the police tend to hire officers with average IQ or lower. They want cops to follow orders without question. Not to think about the gross dehumanization that is taking place. All a cop is a gang member in a costume with state approved tactics.

  • Be prepared, the NWO is coming people!!! change is gonna come soon! :S

  • It is such a waste of time to to express anger at the cops, these protests do nothing until they get to the people behind the cops, the faceless chickens that send them to do their dirty work.

  • Shame on them?! They're proud servants of capital and the 1%. Oh no, shame ain't gonna stop these animals.

    Organise, occupy and fight back!

  • @franzfaramir

No. Peaceful resistance is the key.

  • The cops are the one breaking the law not the protestors.

  • the police are making Occupy bigger and bigger

  • YAY for the cops. When you break the law and don't listen to them you deserve this for rebelling. KUDOS

  • @matienk

You woulda felt right at home in Nazi Germany.

  • @matienk What if the people who make the laws don't have public's best interest in mind? Cops are just the money raising arm of the state. If you look at the numbers the US has more people imprisoned then even russia in its hayday. Prisons are big money makers. The problem is they have to be full to make money. So every year the state comes up with 10,000 or so new Laws to help fill them up. Right and wrong are just words.

  • @matienk If you were alive in 1776, you would be fighting for the British because the American colonists are rebelling and breaking the laws of the British Empire.

  • WHAT DO WE DO NOW?

  • WOW, HOW LOW CAN THEY GO? THE CONSTITUTION IS GONE.

  • They have no shame what you expect most of them dont have Fathers

  • Since when was America like the 3rd World countries they look down upon on the news?

  • This made my blood pressure go up, I don't have the patients these people have I would have started shooting any of them that came close to me. I have the right to defined myself and will use all force I can to stop their attack on me. That is why I have not gone down to the protest I do not wish to die yet.

  • all this its planed

  • And we have Dems & GOP on TV saying we should bomb Iran and other countries.

  • reminds me of the clearing of the polish gettos' in 1939 by the nazi's

  • The good old USA is about to get into some crazy shit, Ya'll be safe outhere!

  • How long can the people stay peaceful ???, there will be a spark and everything will change.

  • corporate empire police

  • at this rate everyone in the U.S. will have a police record. they can't stop the entire nation. get corporate money out of govt or this continues

  • in the laaaaaand of the freeeeeee and the hooommmme of the braaaaaaave

  • Police = 1% loyalists

  • No, really, point of the spear goes right for the female, just like in NYC they attack the females because they are weak ass sissies.

  • Let's see...the troops in 900 military bases around the world are "fighting for our freedom" Yeah...OK... America has become "Home of the Fee, Land of the Slave"

  • Point of the spear went right for the female......cops are cowards! Must be using IDF tactics.

  • And for the ignorant ones saying fuck the police, I wonder who you will call when something happens in your neighborhood. My bet is it will be the cops.

  • Wow seriously you guys are fucking dumb! I saw about 5 people resisting arrest. And that guy kicking and throwing his hands while the cops were trying to cuff him is "resisting arrest". And to the people that tried to push the officers to get back into the crowd, guess what retards? That's assaulting an officer. You sure no how to spit your hippie babble bullshit but yet don't understand the laws. That's the only shame in this video. Go ahead and get your lawers. These videos prove nothing on y

  • @phorta1987 They prove one thing: the point of the spear goes right for the female because the cops are fucking sissies. Watch the vid. They did the same thing in NYC.

  • And they are hippies because they are defending their rights to the 1st Amendment which: prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances." Any law that gets in the way of this is a contravention. These people are doing nothing wrong.

  • as individuals, cops are part of the 99%. but us an organization, the police takes orders from the 1% without question

  • yep you live in a FREE country and this is why rag heads in the east want you dead................lol fucking retarded ass nation!

  • Really RT? Really? Thumbs down

  • North Korea

  • LOL@liberals thinking they can shame these dogs enough to stop brutality.

  • Message too all law enforcement- If you don't want to be gunned down in the streets like a dog when SHTF, I suggest you quit your job now!

  • RIOT TIME!!!!11 NOV 25th we STRIKE!

  • Brutally?? really?? come on RT make your headlines accurate.

  • @rockthehouse06 lol, what part of freedom to assemble and protest don't you understand?

  • @unclewooly Do you really look at the headline and think brutality? LOL what you said has nothing to do with what i wrote about the headline.

  • Waiting for the spark.

  • @stopthebox that is an ominous remark

  • @stopthebox Let the spark ignite......Let the evolution of humanity Begin

  • Europe does uprisings better...I'm just sayin.

  • @endtimesfuntimes ya but the middle east does it better then europe...im just sayin

  • you should all gang up on those pigs, resist enough is enough they are starting violence all you'd be doing would be self defense.

  • BRAIN WASHED POLICE OFFICERS WHAT TOOLS YOU ARE FOR THE CRIMINAL ELITE..... WHAT A PITY .....

  • @troyshereforu Flying monkeys better do what the wicked witch says or they wont get their middle class pay check.

  • oh!

  • Someone tell me how this is BRUTAL?

  • @zr2jake

When a policeman throws you to the ground and steps on top with his knee, while twisting your arms behind your back you will understand the word brutal is appropriate.

  • WTF at 1:00 "Oh yep imma do a repeat of Oakland everyone. Please step back before I cause a riot. :D" D:

  • @2:51 i see a law suit!

  • Such actions are expected when you have a leaderless movement.

  • Seriously

  • Upvote if you can't wait for these pigs to lose their pensions(which they will!).

  • OWS is a socialist uprising and hell bent on enslaving the people.... We must resist OWS at all costs....

  • @politicalratfinder socialism frees people from the slavery that capitalism imposes. open your eyes.

  • @duckman0033 Yeah, I'm sure it does, it worked so well in the soviet unions gulag and it's working really well in Cuba.... IDIOT...

  • @politicalratfinder gulags were the fault of stalin, not socialism, and yeah it is working well in cuba. at least better than when they had capitalism. IDIOT. and capitalism has failed 5x as many times as socialism. for example, the crisis were in now? i wonder why people like you still feel that this system is acceptable.

  • @duckman0033 More people have been killed by their socialist government than all the wars in human history.... get a clue IDIOT

  • FROM A TACTICAL STANDPOINT THE PEOPLE IN UNIFORM ARE QUITE VULNERABLE FROM ALL ANGLES.
