My symphonic orchestra got 2nd place in a state competition with St. Paul's Suite. 2 judges wanted us to get Superior With Distinction, but the 3rd didn't. What a nub.

this is a beautiful performance but i feel like the piece isn't that great because the transition between a slow, melodic solo and the fast, energetic tutti doesn't flow very well. just IMO

I agree that the jumps into the "energetic tutti" are a bit harsh, and the sort of hoedown vibe of the section in A isnt my favorite, but the section in C into the slow refrain just might be the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. hands down. not meaning to argue, but just think its interesting to note.
