these bear sprays should be treated as necessities, and I believe they contain mother nature's recipes, and they truly allow me to forget about my troubles and my strife.
Great video! Going on a hiking adventure here in Northwestern Onatrio now i know how to use my bear spary. Are you posting more vid's about the outdoors??
@Ggreenvideos 30-50 feet is the recommended initial spray distance by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee for a charging bear. The sound of the spray and the cloud produced act as a deterrent at this range. If the bear continues to charge, it would enter the effective range of the bear spray before the capsaicin would have time to dissipate. If you were carrying other deterrents, such as a bear banger, you may use different strategies.
40 feet? How's that my frontiersman spray which is the same says it only sprays up to a maximum of 18 feet. Then you have to consider wind direction. In alot of cases the spray won't do a thing at 40 feet!!! That's just too far away. That's where having the bear banger cocked and ready comes into play. Spray is the last resort if he's 20 feet or closer.
My stepfather ran by a bear in Nova Scotia last summer he thought it was a farmer in a blueberry bush. Thanks for the information I will try to get him to watch this.
and if that doesn't work pull your .44 Mag and end the threat. period.
