AVATAR is extremely powerful. Besides the emotional moments of the death of the tree, the invasion of the village, and neytiris despair, the movie also transform the viewers perspective of our army men. I know that in that movie theater every soul hated the American army, and that my friend is powerful. People of color who have suffered the mistreatment of a white society can sympathize with the lesson of the movie. Thank you Mr. Cameron.

Americans are too easily impressed.

They see something with graphics and they're like. oooooohhhhh and aaahhhhhh.

The story can be complete shit, but Americans will still give up their money as if it did not matter. I thought the United States was in a recession.

Avatar is just one of those movies that come out ONCE, every 5-6 years. Better enjoy and cherish them!

Terrible recycled and typical plot. The plot was predictable, been used in many previous movies, and is just outright disgusting.

Special effects were amazing, eye candy for any audience. I can't get over how much detail they put into the vegetation and environment

I give it a 2/5 on plot and 5/5 on special effects.

Overall a 7/10.

I actually agree with you. Through out the entire movie I predicted like 70% of what was going to happen in the entire movie. But what it lacks in plot is definitely made up in special effects. Then again, you have to think about it, what else could they do with the story without leaving audiences dissatisfied? Overall I'd say between 7.5-8 out of 10. It's very rare that you find a huge action movie with good plot now in days.
