Um, its not really borrowing as much as a tribute to Purple (which is understandable considering how similar Nobuo Uematsu and Blackmore's stuff can sound), if you hear the original track (and in this video too), you have both the organ and guitar solos from "Highway Star" and "Burn" respectively performed by the band...
