Some of the "skipping" you see has to do with Youtube. As far as a small point and shoot camera, this one looks pretty good. You can also zoom while filming, which is rare with these small cameras. This camera is meant to be used mainly for taking pictures, not for filing HD videos. If quality HD is what you want, you need a camcorder, not a point and shoot digital cam. I have a Panasonic SD9 for filming 1080 HD; I've been pretty happy with it. It's a very small camcorder.
quality sucks at 360p or 480p youtube bug...

I've been reading up on this camera a lot as I'm thinking of buying it. The frame rate is 30fps in the MPEG4 AVC/H.264 format.

the framerate sucks on fast moving things watch some more vids, i was looking at this camera but hd recording sucks
