The characters are amalgams of the actors from 90210 and Melrose Place. Courtney is based on Courtney Thorne-Smith. Quinton is mostly Luke Perry and Hunter is mostly Shannen Doherty.
This show was supposed to be a parody what happened behind the scenes of the original 90210 right? So are those two women supposed to be be Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth and the guy playing "Quinton," Luke Perry? I never saw the GP when it first aired, so some clarification would be really helpful. Seems like a hilarious show though!
And the character that Lindsay Sloan played was originally a parody of Tori Spelling. They were going to have her be the daughter of the show's creator but Aarron Spelling got pissed so they changed it.
I LOVED THIS SHOW! I can't believe that they canceled it! Any FULL episodes?
