Brendon also voices Nathan Explosion, Pickles, and Swissgarr on the show itself. He wrote pretty much all of the songs. He does the vocals (kind of obvious because he voices Nathan), electric guitar, bass guitar, and keyboards for the studio recordings. Other musicians play in recordings if required.

So, yes, Dethklok is a band in the show and in real life.
