  • i live in verona and i hear horns on this line everyday

  • SUPERB 14-L! Way to go NJT

  • I used to take the train from that station to Radburn. Even though I still live in Radburn. I still take the NJ transit to other places like New York city.

  • Is that the only line you ride on, there are so many line you should go on and they are very nice.

  • i grew up with U34CH's that's why my screen name. pure comet 1s and U34s. right now i just got hired by New Jersey Transit. i'm a conductor trainee. i love it. i have to ride every line to get familiar. pu

  • including the ACL? Everyone? Every Stop?

  • every line, every yard, every shop. (except atlantic city line. that is a world of it's own.)

  • Used to work here at North Fullerton Ave. as a

Block Signal Operator and Grade Crossing Watchman. Railroad had manual block signals then. There were 3 tracks between here and Montclair station. 3rd track in the middle.

  • that is very impressive. i started watching trains up there in 1976, when i was in 6th grade, and the third track was already gone by then.

  • there was a third track, what engines and cars did you see, Comet Is? U34CHs? FL9s I think they still ran them?

  • FL9s never ran on any of the NJ Transit lines; even before NJT exsisted when it was still EL. Before the U34CHs came along trains were pulled by E8s, Geeps, or RS2s & 3s with 1920s steam-heated coaches.

  • what were FL9s for then, they had them

  • FL9s were used on the the new haven lines in conneticut; where they are still used today.

  • Cool, used to live near there and caught the 6:53am train every morning from Watchung ave way back in the '70's

  • back when it was erie-lackawanna, and they used U34CH locomotives (hence my screen name)

  • Do you have pictures of the U34CHs in action. I'm telling you Ben, i hope the NY&GL gets 3357 working again, I missed the best time in commuter history.

  • i started taking train pics in the 6th grade. after high-school i went into the navy, when i was away my mom had lost the house, and everything in it got thrown away.

  • great video

  • thanks, the weather has been so nice i had to get my butt in gear
