Others that make my top 10: Cygnus X: Orange Theme Cafe Del Mar - Energy 52 Binary Finary 1999 Gouryella Cenith X-Feel (Legend B) Quench - Dreams William Orbit - Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Mix) Legend B Lost In Love Rank 1 - Airwave (Electica Remix) Casseopaya - Overdose [My Number 1 - oh yes... Trance-ish :) ] Not a trance track but another fave of mine of the 'era'... Subliminal Cuts - Le Voie Le Soleil - Make sure you play it all the way through and it will make your favorites.
age of love , cafe del mare, gourella, 2 bad mice bombscare brainbug nightmare sound of eden ecstacy fast eddie i can dance frankie knuckles tears bedrock for what u dream of , joe smooth promised laned there my 10 mate hope u enjoy
I don't understand why somebody always has to start a "this isn't trance, it's techno" (and vice versa) argument that snowballs into berating each other for not knowing who started it and where it started. Who cares? It's a fuckin' choon, just shut up and listen lol
"Age Of Love. One of my TOP 10 essentials techno trance tracks.
Please mention your best anthems like this one in the comments" All the best Trance music will be at my channel, I spend most of my life collecting Electronica, so keep in touch with my channel and you'll be amazed what you've missed!
It hit Sydney just before Krackerjack 3 in 1992. I still remember that party; there was a girl alone on a high podium in the centre of the warehouse with a mirrorball outfit, including mirrorball gloves. She played with the four green lasers from each corner of the ceiling, sweeping them through the crowd in time to this very track coming over a PA system so loud it could knock down a house.
@TheUltraleft Crap, neither the Italians nor Germans invented Trance music, it came from Chicago USA, Trance Year 0 is in the 1980s.....as you will hear, if u stay in touch with my channel.
@Dist786 why are you wasting my time? "Das Model" sounds nothing like "Trance" music, checkout "Phuture" at my channel, that IS Trance! It started in Chicago in the 1980s, NOT Germany, thank you! Why mention Hip Hop? You idiot, go away!
@Dist786 Nope... Delia Derbyshire was producing prototype trance LONG before Kraftwork.... Strange your from the England & don't know that. Go do your home work.....
left in your mind i hope, the same feeling´s running my mind by listening this . One of my " beats die besser wie der beste sex sind ( beats better than best sex ;-)) cause of the memories
How embarassing it it is to mix when it does not work! If you are greedy then it never will. We need to preserve it otherwise it is yesterdays news. I remember when this music climbed in America then after hip-hop had to shut it down for its own preservation. Spitzer spoke of this while a@@holes hated but stole its essence only if it fit in with popular culture!
One of the best ever! It is too bad we are globalizing trance with other genres to appease everyone but if you look carefully this was worth the dance so long ago...
The BEST. How many hours did we dance to this at the nightclub!! If I want one thing before I die, it's to be taken back to the MOTHERSHIP (ARQ NIGHTCLUB IN SYDNEY AUSTRALIA) and dance to this.....and then I CAN DROP DEAD!!!
Just jamming after doing aN 11 hour shift cooking JOY!!! this and so many more though make shit worth while what can i say i absolutely LOVE IT!!!! Lifes full of twists and turns and your never no where it'll end up but one thing is for sure music will always be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is definitely a top 10. Personally, another top ten for me is the 15-minute version of Donna Summer's 'I feel love', which was on the B-side of the 12inch version, and which I had borrowed off a schoolmate and recorded on a cassette that died years ago. The thing is, I can't find it anywhere now, and I regard it as the first timeless techno track and way ahead of its time.
You want to know another trance track that I would hold up next to this one?
Solar Stone - The Calling ... the original Still Waters mix of that track, on hooj choons, was fucking unreal... I think I would cry if I heard it now... the only trance that's truly trance anymore is the newest neogoa stuff, and psy (which has fallen prey to derivative patterns)... ahh, the years...
@seandevega I have to say I REALLY don't get that. I remember after having taken a hiatus from the scene and then reentering it I heard numerous people mention Solar Stone's The Calling as this amazing tune. I bought it from ebay not having heard it and I have to say I just didn't get it. Still don't. I just don't like that tune that much. The fluffy feel of it, the horribly cheesy voice. Now their song Seven Cities (V-One's Living Cities mix)is one of the top trance tunes of all time IMO.
The original version was released in 1990. It's still a masterpiece - look for the long version called "Flying Mix" or "Long Mix". Very atmospheric track, especially because of the vocals.
@djJackMF you'd have to go at least as far back as Pink Floyd in the late 60s to get to the beginning of trance then folow it via Tangerine Dream and other German electronic music plus tsaking in some modern classical stuff along the way which goes back years before even the late 60s
@ancientraver19881989 You are changing the subject though.... I'm talking about a form of dance music that we literally called Trance in the mid - 80's, not what types of music have either influenced or touched upon the aesthetic previously. Obviously you can take it all the way back to African Tribal music if you want to go there - why stop at the 1960's?
