  • Doodz ! This was made on planet Earth !!

That is mega supa dupa cool and important

I ain't trusting no knife made by Martians yo

  • That was a cool video man... Well, honestly i "think" it was a cool video, i fell asleep right when that music started. It was about a knife or something right?

  • what is the weight on this mofo?

  • oooooooOOOOoooohhhh look at those milled liners!

  • Bring back Severator!!!

  • Nice video production! Just when I thought I was safe from the knife addiction you do this?

  • Love the way your camera keeps object in focus as you bring knife in close.

    What camera do you use?

    Thanks.

  • If you were to sell me this knife, I would then possess the knife and you would have money. Deal?

  • @jeffersontool - hehe thanks for the offer man, but I'm going to keep er for a while longer I think.

  • @Severator I'm trying to get all the variants, if you will, of the Manix 2 and that's the only one that hasn't shown up on ebay for a while. I did get the CF S90V Para 2 though so at least I have something with S90V. That and a regular Para 2 will be here tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited. Is there any better company than Spyderco? Not for my money.

  • @jeffersontool I agree Spyderco is awesome! Good luck on your search. I'll keep you in mind if I suddenly decide to sell it.

  • thanx, it's always just siting in my pocket.......... i'm going to try and use the waranty if there is any available for it....... have a killer week end

  • so it's been a while but tell me how is the lanyard side holding up on the manix2. ived had mine for 4 month and the lanyard has some play to it.

  • @teyacapan - so your lanyard tube is wiggling?

  • @Severator actually not the tube but when you squeese the scales to gether at the tube part there is some play.

  • @teyacapan - I know some folks were worried about the design using the lanyard tube on the end for structure rather than another screw. Perhaps flexing over time has loosened yours. I haven't read anything like this lately, so I'm not sure.

  • I gotta get one of these. i want the all black one they make with that fake diamond coating stuff. how has the past year treated those knives? Are they ''tough''?

  • @nightmarefacility its been a year already. wow! They don't make a Manix with the black DLC coating yet. A spyderco military though comes in all black. The only knife that I've really used to any level of rough treatment was the zt350 in the video, the all black one and it's tough enough for me. But I'm not the expert on hard use, so take that with a grain of salt.

  • that works for me. very nice comparison review.

    buzz

  • 3:08, mine came a lil stifff lollololoolololol

  • mention the names of the other knives in comparison

    excellent images

    all good buzz

  • @bluetoad2001 thanks, I'll edit those names in :)

  • Nice video. What method do you use to sharpen this knife and what tools do you use? Also isn't the steel XHP and not s90v?

  • @EnduringEagle - Thanks! This knife is a shelf queen for me, but if I did use it, I'd think it'd be ok with regular touch ups on the sharpmaker. Best place to look for info would be the spyderco forum. They have a great search engine and I know some members there have torture tested theirs. The green ones are XHP carpenter steel. This one is S90v.

  • cherish that thing man i wish i had the bread for one

  • how much did this catch you?

  • To: TheBgcheez: I've been looking everywhere for one of these. Where the heck did you find one?

  • Have no idea why I couldn't be addicted to something less costly. I watched this video and went out and bought one. Thanks!

  • @TheBgcheez - haha that's great man. Glad to spread the madness. Just don't get into watches :)

  • what's the black bladed knife shown at 1:28?

  • that there be the Zero Tolerance 0350

  • 3:18

"It's definitely gotten a little looser since I've been playing with it"

    LOL

  • hahaha def a funny quote!

  • That's What She Said!

  • I may have watched this video 5 or 6 times. Will be getting one of these S90V Manix 2 soon. Maybe a week, I found one on Blade Forums. Because of your video. It's all your fault! Great video, keep up the great work, thanks!

  • hahaha thats awesome to hear man. These vids are bad for the wallet. I've never really been into autos or OTFs but your microtech vids have put those guys on my radar. Will be cool to hear your take on it once you get it.

  • I have a sweet tooth for Autos, always have. Microtech is just a new craving. You beat there will be a video once I get the Manix 2. Is there a big difference in the S90V? I don't know that I will be able to tell the difference. Again thanks for the vid.

  • Hey blaze, mine's a shelf queen right now. I figure anything above S30V is just icing on the cake edge retention wise for me.

  • My Manix 2 is on the way to Louisiana from CA.

  • I want your knife, looks like a great piece

  • This knife is damn near perfect in this configuration - one of the best Spyderco is currently offering, IMO. If the regular version was FFG, I would definitely be picking one up. Wish they would make that a regular production option.

  • I live near The knife center!

  • thats awesome. I used to live in Germantown myself. Too bad my knife addiction was still dormant.

  • this one is the limited edition because it has a carbon fiber handle right? hmmm im not sure cuz i see one with a g-10 handle and im wondering if that one is gonna be in stock for a while or if its still a limited edition knife... :O

  • hi dance2j, this one is LE cuz of carbon fiber, S90V steel, and flat ground blade. The reg M2's are full on production, but their supply is thin now due to high demand prolly.

  • alright thx and this one is around 200$?

  • great review man, I love mine, this knife is amazing.

Nice detail shots, really captures the finer points of the knife that my camera can't capture.

  • Thnx Firebert. I enjoyed your videos as well on this mega spydie : )

  • Very cool review, Man! Excellent... that is a sweet Spydie... Really digging that locking mechanism... And the carbon fiber is really great!

Had a chance to pick one of those up, and passed (I don't know why!) and I'm kicking myself for it now... Gonna have to get one eventually! Good stuff!

  • thanks man! When I saw it listed in stock at knifecenter, I wasn't fully committed. I paced for like 20 min and then like a zombie just went to the laptop and opened my wallet. You know this feeling I'm sure.

  • Heh... been down that path many a time, Man ;) Oddly enough, a few times with Knifecenter... and usually ended up doing what you did... heh... that's classic.

You made the right call! Congrats!

  • Arrrgh! Me pirate booty!

  • lol!

  • Wow..geez thanks..something I have to buy!!!!..

  • That's one beautiful knife. Nice close ups. Great video!

  • ah, i was just looking at this. you lucky son of a gun! :)

  • awesome broski

  • VERY nice knife! Thanks for showing it to us.

Great review as always. 5 stars.

  • Nice score!!

I have been looking to get something in the S90v flavor here pretty soon. Was looking seriously at the CF military. Might have to get one of those though...

  • Dude love your vids, keep them up!!!!

  • That is one sweet knife. However, for that price, I think I'd rather get five Persistences and leave them around the house.

  • hehe I hear ya man. I don't know how many times I've thought, dang for that titanium framelock ,I could get 3 to 5 knives. My list is just getting short these days I guess and maybe that's some normal knifenut progression?

  • Damn, that thing is sweet.

  • This thing sold out ridiculously fast

  • That's because they have only released half or less of the run. The second half comes out in September, call a Spyderco dealer if you want one reserved.

  • Glorious! The gods are smiling upon you.. hah I like it and I'm tempted. I didn't realize the "ball-lock" appears to function similar to the benchmade access lock.

  • Hey COH, yah I've been wanting a ball lock for some time, but the choices haven't been too appealing for me until now. It's nice having the hole and axis style lock for sure.
