@vincentpjones, I saw the Pistolero tour at the Astoria 2, brilliant gig, also the Show Me Your Tears tour in Edinburgh and Sheffield, all brilliant gigs, I have to say I think FB has lost his way in the past few years.
@gary13th lost his way? I think he did great stuff with the Catholics, however Honeycomb, Fastman/Raiderman, Bluefinger and what I've heard of Sevenfingers are exceptional albums, almost every Frank Black Album is of a different musical genre, and you can see the variations in all the Albums he did with the Catholics. Everyone has different taste I suppose, I'm just curious what new music you think isn't on par with his older stuff.
@888archangel i just am not so keen on his newer stuff, is all, the blend of the instruments and lyrics dont seem as good, just my own personal opinion though

He opened with Hermaphroditos when the original tour reached London Astoria. They played for almost 2 and half hours. Fucking amazing!! Still think 'dog in the sand' was their best album.
He played with Todd Rundgren in the late 80`s when Todd put down his guitar. Bobby carried the Rundgren Guitar torch quite nicely thank you very much.
In 100 years when he might die, the convoy will wrap around the earth three times. Work will be illegal for three weeks. In 1000 years when people finally understand him. The world will be a better place.
Frank f'ckn Black ... AHhhhh Raiiiiii... too G'dam bad this vid. load cuts out every 10 secs. I've had enough! Why NOW!!?? Pink Floyd didn't cut out! Jumpin' J'sus Kristo! Mouth full o' drugs
too bad the crowd doesn't appear to know what they are witnessing. Those zombie's should be bowing down, instead they look like they are waiting to catch flies.
That they were. I only got to see them once at the El Rey in LA and he blew me away, drunk and all. I mean he was going thru a lot of shit at the time and you could see it in his faded eyes.
Regardless, he kicked more ass then any lesser band on a good day. Frank Black is my hero.
Dave Philiips (the slide guitarist) is a great talent.

This was a good mix, these artists. I saw them
at a very small venue in LaCrosse Wisconsin and
I gotta tell ya, you really can't beat talent.
They're for real. Just people who know
how to rock and roll. No bullshit.
