hell of a technique but a bit too fast toward the end. This is pretty much a 'show-off' piece since it's a Presto. I don't think Bach intended any profound emotion with this one - he did that with fugue in this suite. This is just a good workout for the violinist and let's face it this guy could probably play pretty much anything he wanted.

This is actually the lute version of the sonata bwv 1000, Bach made an arrangement for violin after this and thats why its known as bwv 1001.
