Purge, you also always say how bad some of your team members are. It's just that you get to complain to us, while this guy needs to complain to the only other people there besides his team.
Hi Purge. I didn't play a lot of axe but I think you should try Vanguard+hood. For what I seen is that your hp is low that easy to kill when you haunt people and all of them are pain with the normal damage. And I think that I is why warlock didn't heal you(not the time you ask him==)
cuz you are to far away from his spell casting range.
But it is good cuz i never seen south east asia people buy hood for axe. they normal buy for Pudge.
Warlock heals Tide at 30:45, or somewhere around there, maybe a second or two before, when the cooldown is 20 seconds? I don't have DotA 2, so I don't know all the skills or whatever, but If that's so, he would have had his heal either just slightly before you died, or after, unless the time is off. He seemed pretty inattentive, though, so I doubt he would have tried if he could have.
Purge, maybe somebody already posted this as I haven't read through the comments: if you issue the attack command on an allied hero even if he is all the way across the map, you will draw aggro from the creeps, so just click attack on any alive allied hero on the top bar (you don't have to look for them on the map). For Axe this is very important.

@Purge. Why dont you try urn and vanguard. I am not saying hood is bad but since you will be dominating early with cull; its better with vanguard + urn. urn + hunger is nice way to get extra kills when cull is in cd.
@cmoulit Yeah urn+bhunger axe works very very good, I encountered it yesterday on a very good player. He also got tranquil boots for jungling and emerged quite farmed from the jungle. I will have to try that build out.

I now know that my assessment of that situation was wrong, I've just never played with that guy before and I didn't see a heal so I assumed he just fucked up.

I agree with your assessment that aghanim's isn't the best item for him, but I would also like to point out that you did not use it to its fullest potential. There were several times you could have simply used your ult as a nuke, and by the time you reached the enemy again it would have been off cooldown for the kill.
@TEHspy Jungle Axe works just as well as Jungle Dark Seer, if not better. Purge complained that to get a Ring of Health you just use way too much regen, but that just makes me think he isn't very proficient in jungling. With proper techniques (maybe a bit of luck with procs and spawns) you can hit level 6 in 4 minutes. MAX you should only need 2 health potions to get your ring, and boots come shortly after, letting you transition to the lane and be very aggressive.
@istemann Yeah, he really did play inadequately this game(though not sure if his heals would have saved me some of those times). I re-watched that part and I am quite sure that he was lying.
@PurgeGamers I think he just misunderstood what you were saying. You said can you heal me and he said it was in CD...he thought you needed the heal as you were asking not like 10 seconds before you asked. Probably didn't realise that you were dead at the moment which is kinda lame.
@PurgeGamers He actually may not have been lying. If you notice, before you TP in (right after the AA ult flies over Tide), he uses it on Tide. The spell has a twenty second cooldown. Twenty seconds from when he casts it is pretty much right as you die. So...he may have been lying, but if he was it was only by a second, at most.
@istemann If you watch the video you will see that Warlock heals Tide at 30:48. It's a 20 second cooldown and Purge dies right at 31:08. Warlock then heals Tide after Purge is dead. Warlock would most likely not have been able to cast the heal and it certainly would not have made a difference to Purge's dying.
Purge is a good player, but he often forgets that the other players don't know what he's thinking. Purge initiates and expects others to have predicted that 20 seconds in advance.
@Novacification Yeah I really wouldn't blame the warlock for not healing. I would not have healed him there either because he just died so fast there that it wouldn't have made any difference. Telling warlock to waste heal on you and then probably die anyway when he could use it on someone else and continue the push.
@istemann No matter how long you have played whatever kind of game - you are going to do mistakes occasionally or just a have bad day. Dota is a fast game, that requires lots of concentration. That makes it even easier to pull off some stupid shit.
@istemann If you look closer, you can see that tide gets healed right before axe blinks in, and therefore yes it was on cooldown and warlock was not lying. Look @ 30:46-50 on the right side of the screen tide is being healed before the whole blinking in ordeal occurred. Purge just needs to pay better attention before calling someone out.
How does the matchmaking works in Dota2? We usually see you own with your teams. Only your Alche gameplay included defeat, and im wondering if all your matches were like this or do you often get owned by others? Also i would like to request a Weaver and a Doombringer gameplay! I do not and never will understand agha's on Axe, if you get 2 culling blades of in a team fight, its really nice - but it's melee range, and noone is going to stand anywhere near axe with low hp.
Could you explain why you don't consider Axe as a viable jungle hero?
@HeadCap It takes a lot of regen to farm up enough to get a ring of health(875) and you are fighting against that while in the jungle. Even then, you pick up a ring of health and ganking is still kinda weak(all you have is a shield and a RoH) and besides, spin does the most damage to enemy heroes in the early game, so I think laning is much more effective(you get farm AND hero kills).

I never ever witness a Axe with Acrane boots until now, it looks hella useful. I've only seen Intelligence treads on him before. Do you always get Acrance boots on Axe when you play Invoke and Am? Or do you just get Acrane boots when Invoke goes for tornado/EMP combo?

@whiteandblackpride Not that Purge isn't awesome, but there's a bunch of Dota2 content on YouTube if you just do a small search. You could also try going to the playdota website. There are a couple of tournaments going on at the moment including the Defense.

Thanks for the video as always Purge, I'm so glad you've gained more recognition like you always deserved.
One thing I noticed: You don't use hunger enough. There's a slow component on it, so it helps to chase. You also save Cull to the last second WAY too much, especially since you have a /6/ second cd for it (with aga). You're wasting a 450 damage nuke for 200 mana every 6 seconds, and with your build, you got stupid amounts of mana to waste. Just initate with blink, ult, call, then hunger, then ult again. That's like a hero automatically.
@Senranda I completely agree I didn't spam cull enough. I should have been using it for just damage alone at the start of a gank and then again to finish.
Question from a DotA newbie - if an ally gets away with low HP and they're going to survive, can you still deny them? Seems like there's some potential for trolling and griefing there
This vid shows something i dont like about some dota heroes: reliyng on chances (for spins for example) feels weird to me. Especially in a game that is to be played competetively such elements of luck shouldnt be there (just my point of view).
Yeah, the RNG is definitely fucked on Axe. I'm very surprised/disappointed that Icefrog hasn't remedied this. HoN's implementation of counterhelix is far, FAR superior.

He could be bad, but that wasn't a bad heal. Unless he assumed you would be soon to die.

I never ever witness a Axe with Acrane boots until now, it looks hella useful. I've only seen Intelligence treads on him before. Do you always get Acrance boots on Axe when you play Invoke and Am? Or do you just get Acrane boots when Invoke goes for tornado/EMP combo?

just a tip with axe , if you attack an ally hero , the creeps will aggro you , and you can attack enemies/allies across the map to aggro up .

@whiteandblackpride Not that Purge isn't awesome, but there's a bunch of Dota2 content on YouTube if you just do a small search. You could also try going to the playdota website. There are a couple of tournaments going on at the moment including the Defense.

One thing I noticed: You don't use hunger enough. There's a slow component on it, so it helps to chase. You also save Cull to the last second WAY too much, especially since you have a /6/ second cd for it (with aga). You're wasting a 450 damage nuke for 200 mana every 6 seconds, and with your build, you got stupid amounts of mana to waste. Just initate with blink, ult, call, then hunger, then ult again. That's like a hero automatically.

1) he has to be under a damage over time spell e.g hunger, poison, doom etc.
2) he has to be under 25% hp
at least this is from DotA 1 not sure about DotA 2

This vid shows something i dont like about some dota heroes: reliyng on chances (for spins for example) feels weird to me. Especially in a game that is to be played competetively such elements of luck shouldnt be there (just my point of view).
