@ThePopop123456 Literally any country can get half the world if you play the grand campaign. It's just a feature of Paradox games. If you play well, you can play as anyone. If you aren't the best player in the world yet, then start out simple as a prominent power.

@ThePopop123456 I played as Wallachia and formed Romania and ended up colonizing all of modern day Russia, and taking almost all of the Balkans, the rest of it was given to my vassal, Greece.

-Play as the Aztec and kill Spain

-Play as a Greek nation and recreate the boarders of the height of the roman empire. Holy War CB for being orthodox with help a lot.

how do you patch the game?? also next time play as Holland and form the Netherlands its hard and easy but once you form netherlands Europe will fall to their knees begging for mercy.

If you want to truly want to challenge yourself try Avignon, you'll have to win wars while not getting bum rushed by France who is all around you

Another game you could do in China would be to start after Qing's historical formation and try to westernize them and eventually (hopefully) expand. Should be interesting if the AI is as active in the beta patches with nonstandard starting dates.

If westernizing a big country is daunting though it could also be interesting if you chose Portugal or a similar country with the objective to control all of Africa without gaining any new European or American provinces.

Even if you aren't thrilled by the idea of Ethiopia I recommend staying outside of Europe. Most popular countries are so 'done' that they are likely to bore some of us who've been playing EU for years, and your LP is a lot more likely to be unique if you avoid Europe.

If you like playing Islamic nations, Morocco (or any NA state) and the Golden Horde can make for interesting games.

A challenge you could do with Ming is to westernize as soon as you can and then conquer without regard to infamy.

One of the most rewarding games I ever played in EU3 was an African conquest as Ethiopia. Most of the provinces are very poor but there's nothing like owning your entire continent. It was in Magna Mundi Platinum, so I had to be miserly with every ducat from start to finish and had the equivalent of a tribal succession crisis with every monarch for a long time but I made my goal in the early 19th century. There were some intense wars against Egypt in the beginning and colonial empires later on.

Be creative. Do some country no one has ever thought of doing before. England might be cool. Try to avoid Europe though, most of the stuff there is the same as Mecklenburg. African Faction...Native American Faction...East Asian Faction. Those are my suggestions. Europe and the Middle East are out though.

I've tried once, on the easiest settings...it was still awful. Although someone on the Paradox forums did a good job of it, he owned quite a bit of the world in the late 17th century, I think.

@Bonemiath Karaman.. I think that would be really challenging because you're surrounded by The Ottomans, right? I think it is doable if you capture the gold provinces in Georgia and build a navy to split the Ottomans into two across the Dardanelles/Bosporus
