As bad as Illinois was that year, this is easily the best I've ever seen Penn State perform on the road. It seemed like in the second half, PSU was avoiding scoring, even to the point of having Austin Scott run backwards 12 yards and then punting within easy FG range.
What a difference 3 years makes. Illinois is a million times better than that team. They were still realing from the stench that was the Ron Turner era. I hope PSU fans aren't expecting a game like this. You will be severly dissapointed.

Nah definitely not. Illinois will come to play. This'll probably be tight all night. Hopefully our homefield advantage will push us over the top

I knew it would be tough, and Illinois gave us a game for 3 quarters. That was a great game.

63-10, and we could have easily hung 100+ on them had we not pulled the starters in the middle of the second quarter.
