Regarding other Jag players of note: I seem to remember Carl Wilson (The Beach Boys) played one and One of the original Yardbirds (Can't remember who) played one as well. If you have the cover of "Having a Rave Up" you'll seb Beck on the right with his Tele and maybe thats Paul Samwell-Smith? with a Jag on the far left. Those are the only two players I can remember playing the Jag. Cheers

I own a blacktop tele, awesome guitar, if your thinking of getting a Jim Root telecaster i would recommened getting a blacktop instead as you can get the same hi-gain sound for a cheaper price!

if you want a cheap jim root tele, buy the blacktop tele (black with maple board), and just replace the pickgaurd with a white one, and get some emgs

@Skate4LifeJW no their actullay pretty light, atleast compared to a les paul. its really comfortable to play standing up. the body itself is the heaviest thing and its not even that heavy really.

i'm thinking of buying a blacktop.. i tried the jazz and jag at a shop, always loved the shape, but i'm starting to like the tele more and more.. now, in my opinion, the jag sounds better than the jazzmaster.. it sounds thicker.. does the tele feels and sounds more or less like the jaguar? they have the same electronics, same fetboard etc...

i've always wanted a strat with the traditional look and feel, but with that fuller sound that only a pair of humbuckers delivers. i'm looking forward to my trip back to play it now :)

@RobChappers I would take a gamble and put my money on the mexican Fenders. These Guitars are really comming up. People think cause its made in mexico, their shit but this is not true at all. Fenders Facillity in Mexico is one of the finest plants ever built. So far there are many made in Mexico Fenders that can go up against American made Fenders anyday. Watch out for them. Their getting Hott.
