  • Its actually the perfect training exercise if you think about it. They found a target of interest and were able to direct other units to it.

  • I wonder if the ... urm.... Car owner ever knew.

The only thing we saw in Iraq was about 5 guys running a train on some other dude. They'd take turns while the rest were smoking a hooka.

I've seen some crazy shit out in the box.....a few of those COB's start looking good after 10 days in the field, lol.

  • I'd laugh too. You intend to get used to this IR tech before using it in a real situation, and you end up finding a couple having sex in a car. That's comical.

As for your "evangelist puritan bigott wankers"... where the heck did that comment come from?

  • This is at JRTC at Ft Polk.

  • They didn't hear the helicopter because the video was shot from about two miles away. But the noise comes in at about 135-140db.

  • Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Terrorist Bump"! ;)

  • Eye in the sky :]

  • Knew a guy who worked on AC-130 Spectres in the mid 80's. That plane had a low light camera on the left side. They train mostly at night and he said they had LOADS of hours of tape on folks getting in on on the beachs and on boats. Don't want to think about the stuff they have today.

  • @roadrodent1952 Well I won't be humpin on Pensacola beach anymore.

  • Year, it's not called a FLIR on a KW, but it's still an IR system. They call it a TIS, Thermal Imaging System instead.

  • That's actually a video from a JRTC rotation and the Kiowa dosen't use the FLIR.
