  • I know the tall guy with the white bandana in the beginning, who's right in front of yoshiki. Did he even know Yoshiki was RIGHT behind him??? I'ma ask him now....

  • Hey, awsome video! I was wondering if I could use it in a video project I'm working on???? I sent you a private message with all the information about the project. Please let me know! ^_^

  • ahhh i want him to come to Thailand too T^T we want concerts

  • I've been a huge fan of Yoshiki since 1992, and I love those who love him. I'm happy to see your excitement. He is the best!

  • He's such a lovely guy...

It must be a cool experience! Ah... I envy you, guys... XD

  • i would of jumped on him if i was there

  • LOL

  • thanks for posting this, really a good footage, observing Yoshiki closely and detail. Really luv on how he reacted everytime you guys shouted his name. He never ignored us. so lovely...

  • OOOOO... I don't know what would I do if I had him that near!!! Where was this taken??

  • Thank you thank you thank you for posting it!

You make me feel as if I were there with you shouting and thrilling to see Yoshiki so close!

He is sooo cute and nice and friendly!

  • you can see his love for his fans right here in these moments. after hide passed on, he felt it was himself who needed to take up hide's torch of being with the fans and giving them acknowledgement. he is truely dedicated to us as a whole ^^

  • I backed this up three times at the beginning, just for the joy of actually hearing someone say his name properly. (personal peeve, "yo-SHEE-kee" drives me nuts) This brings back beautiful memories. Thank you for sharing.

  • hey i didnt know that it was 'yosh-ki', not 'yo-shee-ki'... u must forgive non japanese ppl for not knowing that! and thanks for telling us that!

  • Aww it's ok not to know how to say a japanese name! It's just when people claim to "LOVE" someone sooo much... but don't bother to say the person's name correctly, even after being told... that just gets on my nerves. ^^;;

  • tho i was wondering why he spells it with the extra 'i' at all? why not spell it 'yoshki'? it'll avoid confusion!

other japanese names with confusing pronounciations - gackt (actually gackto or gakuto), hyde (actually haido). why the hell??

i was watching this comment by this violet uk singer (natalie something) and she kept calling him yo-shee-ki even though she WORKS WITH HIM so you'de think she'll know better! i dont think he minds, he must be used to it, living in america and all...

  • Not all japanese pronounce those names that way, it depends how much trouble they have with the consonants. Yoshiki manages to say "Gackt" (not Gakuto) just fine.

As for Yoshiki's spelling, it's not an "extra" i, it's just devoiced. (much like all the "silent" letters in english) And no, he doesn't seem to mind his name being mispronounced. Either he's used to it, or he's just too polite to correct anyone.

  • can i bug u a little more about this thing? sorry! :)

so, they pronounce 'gackt' as 'gakuto' coz its difficult to pronounce 'gackt' (like 'fact')? which means that 'gakuto' is not the correct pronounciation, its just convenient for the japanese to pronounce it that way, am i right? which means that 'gackt' is the correct way to say it? or is it that there's no correct or incorrect way, so end of discussion?!

  • All i can tell you is, Gackt himself says his name "Gackt" (does NOT rhyme with "fact"--the a is "ah" like when you stick your tongue out at the doctor) and i trust he would know how to pronounce his own name.

When his name is written using kana, it corresponds to the romanised "Gakuto", and this is how most native japanese will say it. (sorry this is all so off-topic)

To everyone who cried: Don't feel bad, i did too, as did one of my friends with me. Yoshiki-san is used to it. ~.^

  • thank you for that!

you're lucky to have met yoshiki-san!

  • i see hyde's season's call poster in the background :D. oh right, yoshiki was great too ^^"

  • my friends and i were there for the sunday signing...and just a few moments ago, one of them sent me this in a link. how shocking it was to find myself in this.

    4:14-4:21....oh yeah, sign my X mirror, Yoshiki-sama!

    thanks for sharing the vid

  • I didn't even know there was a second signing. I'm happy Otakon brought him, but I'm really angry with them for the lack of line control that day. I'm glad I got to see his panel at least, but it just makes me mad...how many fans there were...who waited for that moment...and will probably never get that chance again. I'm still kind of bitter. >_> But Yoshiki is a really awesome person, and I know he would have done more if he could. It's just a shame how disorganized Otakon was last year.

  • Dude! I wish I could've gone to Otakon! I would've bawled if I met him too.

  • dude i tot i saw hide?! is it the last live playin at the tv behind yoshiki.

  • LMAO oh my god watching myself over again in that moment is so embarassing XDD *was the blonde haired loser crying*

  • Don't be ashamed, I was crying the whole time. > < Just seeing him makes me cry. Lucky you got his autograph finally. ^ ^

  • xDD I feel like I'm semi-eavesdropping, listening to the conversations in the background lol!

It's such a long video, thank you for sharing it with everyone :DD

    I wasn't lucky enough to go this time, sadly ^^;

  • Haha, is it just me, or did I start something? xD I'm the first person on this video to ask for a hug. Thanks for the video! I was wondering if I'd run into this sometime. I absolutely love my cymbal. (It's hanging on my wall...)

  • Dude how cool is that

  • OMG!! What time was he there?!

  • really i want to die for cant go to see him, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. anyways thaks for share this video.

  • what did he say to the reporter at the end with the recorder? something about .. the difference between fans in american and japan?...

  • No the reporter asked really vague questions, he asked What Yoshiki thinks about the difference between American music industry and Japan's, since Yoshiki knows both really well. > < and Yoshiki replied that they're very different, then the staff woman stopped the reporter and said sorry to Yoshiki.

  • Ahh... what time did he show up at the tofu booth?

LOL I was kneeling right in front of him behind the signs... taking pics.

So wierd how we were so close together.

He looked amazing and was so cool about everything.

    Again thanks for sharing!!!

    PS.

i can just sit and watch and watch with no clue of time...
