I was there! Ater been awake for 3 days at the Sunrise festival, without drugs i hasten to add, we decided to go and see this event at stonehenge before the 300 mile drive back up North!
I slept a solid 12 hours when i got home! Ive never gone that long w/out sleep: Sunday morning to Wednesday evening!
it gets pritty packed i'd recomened Eveburry but i also recomend that you exspsrance stonhenge at least ONCE in your life :) *was there for 2005 and 2006* in this one on vid time point 6:23 i can be found on the left side in white jumping on a stone.. it's so odd seeing me on vid on youtube like this lol!! Blessed be!
I was there that year, I remember waiting for the sun to finally come out from behind the clouds, always fantastic there! Thankyou so much for posting your video.
I agree with telf46. Hell was created so that it could scare others into following the faith. we don't have a hell. so shut the fuck up, and do some research on some religions other than christianity. before you make assumptions like that. ignorant ass. *glares*
"Those who harbor resentful thoughts toward others, believing they were insulted, hurt, defeated, or cheated, will suffer from hatred, because hate never conquers hatred... Those who imagine truth in untruth and see untruth in truth follow vain desires."
So glad you decided to go and pos this video; I might go see the sunrise this solstice but, is there anything more than partying and dancing? More like a calmer, tranquil spiritual ceremony of any kind...
btw, whats the link to what you said: "there is another clip on YouTube that shows the Druidic ceremony,"??
just do a search for stonehenge - there are a lot of videos and I'm not sure which one it is but if you have a look at them the druidic one is quite obvious.
There is another clip on YouTube that shows the Druidic ceremony, and their comment was that everyone who was there was a part of the celebration and they were all celebrating it in their own way. I would suggest that the drunks and the drug casualties didn't *ruin* the celebration, but they did get in the way and perhaps underfoot - but I was wearing big boots.
Thanks for this. Possibly the closest I will ever get to the stones. Drugs, druggies, druids and police have never ruined any party I've been at - I love 'em all, though I'd prefer the police just watched it on YouTube!

The important thing, for me anywaywas that I got to watch the sun rise on midsummer's morning from Stonehenge.

having watched your videos I'm now of the opinion that you are either deeply disturbed or, more likely, a slightly demented prankster.
Having decided that the second is more a likely option I can only advise you to buy a tripod.

This is wonderful - thanks for posting. I've NEVER been for solstice - wage slave too weedy to bunk for the day, but one day...love the music too.

I too am a corporate wage slave and the following day was *very* long and involved much coffee - well worth it though.

No way, I drove through Avebury on the way home and there didn't seam like much going on, whereas the celebrations were still going on at Stonehenge.
