Summer Solstice 2006 - Stonehenge

I was there! Ater been awake for 3 days at the Sunrise festival, without drugs i hasten to add, we decided to go and see this event at stonehenge before the 300 mile drive back up North!

I slept a solid 12 hours when i got home! Ive never gone that long w/out sleep: Sunday morning to Wednesday evening!

it gets pritty packed i'd recomened Eveburry but i also recomend that you exspsrance stonhenge at least ONCE in your life :) *was there for 2005 and 2006* in this one on vid time point 6:23 i can be found on the left side in white jumping on a stone.. it's so odd seeing me on vid on youtube like this lol!! just do a search for stonehenge - there are a lot of videos and I'm not sure which one it is but if you have a look at them the druidic one is quite obvious.

Thanks for this. Possibly the closest I will ever get to the stones. Drugs, druggies, druids and police have never ruined any party I've been at - I love 'em all, though I'd prefer the police just watched it on YouTube!

I would suggest that the drunks and the drug casualties didn't *ruin* the celebration, but they did get in the way and perhaps underfoot - but I was wearing big boots.

The important thing, for me anywaywas that I got to watch the sun rise on midsummer's morning from Stonehenge.

No way, I drove through Avebury on the way home and there didn't seam like much going on, whereas the celebrations were still going on at Stonehenge.
