  • huh... "i could care less"... maybe it makes sense!! when i know something it's not very important, but i still care, knowing that i couldn't care... i could care about something that is impor-tant-less... huh... oh, forget it! it does make sense at all

  • sexiiiii britishhhh guyyyyyy......333

  • Aluminium?

  • you would fit in well in Minnesota - you put plants in a a bucket

  • So what does root mean in Australia then?

  • if you were a boy you would look exactly like him lol

  • So true about the "could care less" thing, just doesn't make sense.

  • SCREW MY COUNTRY'S ACCENT! INDIAN ACCENT TIME NOW!

  • I'm British and I am Proud

  • Leisure centers, we call 'em Recreational Centers. Rec Centers ;)

  • the differences of american and british "couldnt" are american pronounced it as "could-en", which is a very short "en" sound, and british pronounced it as "could-den" that is a very firm "den" sound.. like "mountain" as "mount-en" and "mount-tan".. so most non-english speaking countries like mine sometimes couldnt precisely differentiate between american's "could" and "couldnt, and "can" and "cant", as they all sounds the same to me.. hahaha

  • @blackpythonsc Huh? I'm British and I don't say Mountain as Mounten, I say it as Mountan...

  • @XxStJimmmmyxX lol US and UK, mount-en and mount-tan respectively

  • @blackpythonsc Thank you xD...

  • Thank your for all the help! I need to learn a good and solid British accent for my media class and I was so lost before this. The British accent is, in my opinion, very beautiful but also very hard, for me at least. I would like to know though, how do you say 'thank you very much?' I try with an accent but can't seem to form the words. (Yes, I am American and trying hard to learn.) Oh, and just so you know, your brother is very cute. Just fyi, ;D

  • South English accent is completely different to Northern English, take that in-mind

  • i think learning how thee british pro-nounces vowels would help us in thee pro-cess..

  • Love" sorry

  • How do you say "bye

  • Guys, OMG! It would be better if u post more vids bout british accent.. I really really want to learn!!! I love your accent!

  • Who was That in the white dress going behind you guys ? at 2:54 TO 2:58

  • @MyAhsanraza Its a ghost LOL

  • Omg I've been dying to know how to speak in a British accent since forever!!!

  • You two are awesome! I feel happy cause i see you two fond of each other, make me miss my brother and sister back home :)

  • The phrase "I could care less" is stupid even to me and I'm American. I say "COULDN'T care less"; it makes waaay more sense.

  • They sound different, but I guess most of the pronounciations are similar to Australian lol.

  • today is 11/13/2011 in the states and 13/11/2011 in the uk.

how about the words garage or zebra?

my girlfriends dad is from manchester and his accent is so heavy she doesn't understand him some of the time.

  • No sorry, in America people will say "I couldn't care less" also, only some geniuses say "I could care less" - they're not the brightest tools, obviously. There's no such thing as "I could care less but I don't."

  • people look at me strange when i say prohcess rather than prahcess for process.

  • Hi im australian trying to learn a british accent for a drama class, could you say 'she gave me some beautiful pearl earrings, far better than your clip ons. thanks

  • The British accent is the best accent in the world thats the only reason I need on why I need to learn it.

  • Hi I just made a "how to speak with a British accent" video please watch and subscribe thanks!!!:)

  • ur brothers HAWT! Xx lols thumbs up if u think so too!

  • you look soo much beautiful without the hair on your forhead =)

  • We do have places similar to leisure centers, though they're not called that. The Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA both sound kind of like what you're describing.

  • what the hell is a bang?? and how can it be thick???

  • Oh, but I have a real question. What do American accent sound like to you? Like, english accents sound uber proper.. You smell what I'm stepping in?

  • How do you say 'your brother is beautiful' in a English accent? :)

  • how do say.your a bitch in your accent

  • your brothers fit, sorry;)<3

  • your brother is male or female? I think he's still in a confusion whether to be a guy or a girl.

  • i watched this and becamme harry potter

  • Her bang is too thick. She'd look prettier without it/with a thiner one.

  • wow ! your brother is hot!! & thanks :D !

  • Ppl over here say I could care less either cuz they're being sarcastic,or they mean "ur lucky I'm talking about this because I care enough to talk about it,while I could care less"

  • I can't understand her..she can;t talk properly...is she foreign? Who is the muppet next to her,has she got her hand up his arse

  • Uhh what was that thing that passed it looked kinda freaky(2:56)????

  • I COMPLETELY agree with the "I could care less" phrase. It makes no sense. Everyone I know says it but I just don't understand why. I agree with you guys, it should be I couldn't care less. That's actually kind of a pet peeve of mine :P

  • So.. Do British people love American accents as much as we love English accents?

  • @randomkristen97 ....no.

  • your brother is hot!

  • @Togefamilyproduction I would like to date him!

  • is it wierd that i think you brother is rrreeeaaallllllyyy cute....... amazing video btw..... thanks :D

  • I've been trying out a British accent at work just for fun and I don't know how to say certain words that I need to say all day such as: "my name is Tiff" as in Tiffany. And how do you say numbers? I only know how to say 4.

Your brother is super adorable by the way ;)

  • Thank you! I have to play a part in a show on Thursday, and I was running out of time to master it! thank you!

  • How you say Anthony Wilson in British I try say my name,

  • Your brother is cute .

  • I usually say "I couldn't care less" but my brother says "I could care less." I usually just think he's being sarcastic when he say it.

  • u guys should like do ur best american accent (:

  • Interesting...I never noticed that. I always say "I couldn't care less". Personally, I think it rolls off the tongue more smoothly.

  • you know i'm american and i've always thought the same thing, i never understood why people would say "i could care less" it doesn't make since

  • It must be rly fun to have a "British" accent, I mean I do have an accent but it's not a slight Filipino accent, but my accent is not that strong, I love hearing u guys talk, it's fascinating! Is tht what u pol call it?? Anyway, I am currently trying to speak with this "British" accent nd btw! I love u guys! Specially the england boys.. Haha k bye! :)) good Job btw!

  • I liked you more without the french, looks quite heavy :D

  • is that a posh accent

  • your brother kept repeating you

  • What about the saying "You can't have your cake and eat it too." What else are you supposed to do with a cake that you have? It would make more sense if we said..."You can't eat your cake and have it too."

  • i will forever be annoyed when i hear "i could care less" thank you for that :) its one of those things we actually don't notice until someone points it out, haha.

  • Well some people say vase as "vase" and some people say vase as "vaze"

    (in America)

  • oh yeah. we english do not actually talk posh !

  • Hiya! You remind me on Kate Nash! May be it's your hair! Good video!

    Cheers!

  • that guy is such scrape

  • "i could care less" we say it because we mean it as "we could care less... but we dont" Its just a shorter way. "i could care less...but i dont" we just leave off the "but i/we dont" because we know what we mean when we say it hahaha xD! jus sayin

  • @BloodyKrueger But just saying "I could care less" implies you do care. Its MUCH easier just to say "I couldn't care less"

If you said to me: "Can you drive me to the cinema" and I said "I could" Would you expect me to drive you to the cinema? Because what I actually could've meant was "I could, but I'm not going to"

  • @BloodyKrueger That makes no sense. If you're looking for a shorter way of saying, "I could care less... but I don't", why not just say, "I couldn't care less" instead of saying something that means the exact opposite of what you're actually trying to say?! I mean how silly!

  • @TheHugo922 You're right that is so silly. 'I could care less' means that you DO care when you're trying to say that you DON'T care, so why say anything else! Retards...

  • @BloodyKrueger You're retarded then!

  • lol the guy next to u were just staring into the camera. thx nice video it helped alot. o and is that your boyfriend?

  • We say route and root. The american root is the same as yours.

  • your bangs are fluffy and fat!!!

  • Your brother is drinking all the time !!! Hahaha!

  • 2:55..what was that? like a floating tail of a cat?

  • What happened to your hair?!

  • May I also add, you're attempting to teach an English accent, not British. Britain includes Scotland and Wales (not Northern Ireland, as that's the United Kingdom). You're certainly not teaching British accents as no one in Wales or Scotland speaks like you lucky people.

  • This isn't necessarily reflective of the stereotypical English accent, you both have regional accents. I on the other hand was raised in Surrey where we've got quintessentially English accents. Plus, traditionally English people drink tea out of a cup and saucer not a mug as your brother does..

  • 'I couldn't care less' shows that this thing is the least important thing, compared with other things. The other phrase of 'I could care less' also shows that this thing is not important because I can make myself care less about it, however, it is made to compare with itself, not other things.

Does that make sense to you? That is how I interpret it :p

  • I'm doing a play and I have to speak in a british accent so I wont to know a paragraphs the rest I kinda got,

here It is: Way something is right. But not way cool. Way conceited, way self-centered. Anita, just who was this song about?

  • Sweet hair. XD

  • These two are a pair of fucking helmets.

Any cunt that speaks like that will get a hiding.

    Posh southern kids.

  • @EggBagg26 fucking southern wankers, dont mind cockneys to a certain extent but fuck me, in yorkshire them two'ed gerra shoe in

  • The guy in the background is super hott!!!!!!!!!

  • how do you speak in a posh accent?

  • it is a London posh accent isnt it? you dont sound like somebody from any other place lol .i might be wrong, i am not british, sorry if so :) just intersting if im right, let me know, please

    thanks!

  • Hey I loved the video thank you so much...

want to see more of this... :-)

  • Hey I loved the video thank you so much...

want to see more of this... :-)

  • what?

    get a grip

  • OH MY GOSH! I'm American, and I HAAAAATTTEEEEEEE it when I see people say "I could care less"! *Foams at mouth*

  • We say "Vay-ssssssssss"

  • i'm a scouser and i use 'i could care less'

  • Could you say:: A noisy noise annoys an oyster ? :D

Honestly, i didnt know English people drank lots of tea.

Im turkish, and us turks drink like 10 cups of tea a day lol

  • You kinda remind me of Lily Allen with your hair like that, xD anyways, nice tutorial review guys.:)

  • "I could care less" is a lazy way of shrugging off something that we feel is beneath us. This could be implied that it is beneath us to feel better or worse regardless of the outcome of a certain situation or subject in conversation. These phrases have a duality in there intended use and interpretation. It would be difficult to example how this duality should be interpreted unless you are familiar with other aspects of the language, conversation, and culture.

  • "I could care less who win's the Super Bowl this year"

What I would interpret from this:

    - Their team lost and they really aren't looking forward to watching the game

    - They feel uncomfortable talking about sports and are trying to slide out of the discussion before it can start.

    - They really don't care at all because they may have other things on there mind at the moment.

**Sarcasm would imply that they are joking and actually care a great deal about who win's the game.

  • How do u say so proporly???

  • i was born in new york but now live in england i have been in england 4 5 munths and he accents are wierl lool

  • I like the idea - but I'm from germany and if you want to teach someone to talk better with a ,,British Accent" why are you talkin sooo unbelievable fast? The most things you said I can't understand - I CAN'T but I WANT. U know?

    The guy is cute. höhö.

  • u'r soooooooooo cute guys ^_________^

  • Could you say "hello Jedi it's Sunday" thank you.

  • Thank you so much for all the help! I am an actress from America, and I definitley needed the help. O and you know what, iv never even heard of a leisure center before now. Anyway thanks again for the help! I think you guys are great. :)

  • I have to say, this is fun to watch lol ^-^ i am learning and i like how both your brother and yourself have personality in your video. it really does beat the heck out of a mono toned character @.@

  • *jaw drops* Sexy accent... these tips are gonna come in handy! CHEERIO! (^_^)

  • I HAVE A LEISURE WORLD IN MY TOWN HOW IRONIC!

if you could how do you say 'I want you in bed."

that would be amazing to learn! haha

  • Most Americans who actually think about what they're saying do say "I couldn't care less." I'm not really sure how the opposite came about though. And many of the words you said are actaully said either way such as route and many of the other words.

  • @Mas14141 Yeah, and I think the saying 'I could care less' in America came about partly from laziness (idk...too many syllables I suppose.) I catch myself saying it, and I always have to stop and correct myself!

  • lol i want to name mykid eliete

  • "couldn't care less" make WAY more sense than "could care less" I'm not sure why we say that?!

  • Do you think the American accent is ugly/annoying? I love British accents! I am also doing a report on England right now. :D

  • Americans say route [root] and [rowt]

  • "Couldn't care less/could care less" is actually just a stupid grammar error a majority of people make. Believe me, American editors (myself included) know the difference. It's a bit annoying to hear on a daily basis. :/

"Root/route" is, I think, by region. For me, I hate saying "r-OW-t," so I always say "root" for both.

Most of us don't say "anti" like "ant-ee," because we say silly cliché things like "upping the ante," but I've heard it both ways.

No renaissance fairs in the UK? Aww.... :(

  • @muppetmadness Yeah, I'm American and I also wonder why we say "I could care less" but I'm guessing it's sort of saying to the other person that this could be less important as in "do you want me to not care at all" as in "If you want me to, I could not care at all". Hope that helps. haha.

  • How do you say pants?

  • I'm from England (Derby, East Midlands)and I have a derby/Ilkeston (Ilson) accent (which has crazy dialect) What words do you say for the following?

Eg. A path/walkway in between two houses in derby is called a 'jitty' (jit-e).

If someone isn't doing something fun we call them 'mardy' (mar-dee) or a 'mard-arse'.

An if someone is being angry we say "oh he's got a cob on"

When we say hello to someone we know or saying hello informally we say 'Eh up me duck' (A-yup-me-duck)

    Please reply, Stefan

  • the dude is smexy i would date a brittish dude anyday :)

  • are u two banging?

  • i was wondering how do you say hello, my name is.......,mom,and dad. (:

  • hey say: Betty botter bought a bit of butter to make the batter. But the batter that betty botter bought was a bit bitter. So betty botter bought a bit of better butter to make the bitter batter better. (in a cockney accent when the double tt is a gloat and stop?)

  • i couldn't care less. i didn't understand tht but i never heard a american say i could care less. Personally i say i couldn't are less myself. . . so yeah. . .

  • im Australian and we preety much have the same dialect in words, as you guys!

Im just curious about how you would say "Revolver", seeing that your accent, is not posh but so called in the "Middle".

    would you say 'Rare-volver' or 'Ree-volver' ??

(not that its a common word you would hear in australia, but rather rare)

  • we say vase like or or vase like vace. - it really depends who you are really like the anti aswell.

  • I love you video. I saw different point of british and american accent and I think british accent is very sweet and difficult to pronounce so I learn form your video :D.

hope you'll upload your good video soon I'll wait. Enjoy your Christmas (in the near future)

  • I'm in love with your accent Girl!! Xx from Italy

  • that's wired i say i couldn't care less. dat's how most people say it in LA. Pretty funny!

  • i say i could care less and im in america. hahahah

  • hey so im from america and yes we do have leisure centers here but they are called Rec centers or recreation centers :)

  • I've wondered about that too... Actually, I was wondering about that recently. "I could care less" Hm. sounds weird to me too, and I've lived in the U.S. practically my whole life. I say "I couldn't care less" It does make more sense, even though people here do seem to understand what someone means when they say it improperly. ^-^

  • is london cold during the winter

  • i am from Kensington London but i have been staying in the united states for a while and i have always wondered about the "could" and "couldn't" care less thing.... Americans have very weird slang but they all seem to know what they mean and are saying... i guess we do the same thing though.(: my accent is actually a little sharper and some words sound Irish(: oh yeah Americans shorten words and phrases a lot.

  • @kaymariewest Yes indeed they do, Teliho, Cheerio

  • i am from Kensington London but i have been staying in the united states for a while and i have always wondered about the "could" and "couldn't" care less thing.... Americans have very weird slang but they all seem to know what they mean and are saying... i guess we do the same thing though.(: my accent is actually a little sharper and some words sound Irish(:

  • You are right about the "I couldn't care less" thing versus "I could care less" and I don't say either haha when people say they could care less I think it doesn't make sense too! So basically I think you are really right on that whole thing and I don't know why we say "I could care less" but I hear it all the time and you explained it very well. I'm from Michigan by the way.

  • U say "em" alot and I watched many of ur vids, now instead of saying um I say em! I like it;)

  • Thanx for the tips sexy ;)

  • "I could care less" is improper; the saying is "I could care less" here, as well. I'm sure that the mistake is not unique to the US (though we do seem more prone to inconsistencies).

  • How Do You Say "Hello My Name Is Tailor And I Am From America"?

  • and how do you say "better"? do you read T? i guess you don't say bedder, do you? yeah and by the way....you're brilliant! ;)

  • hahaha awesome vid!!!! it actually taught me a bunch of things i didn't know! I'm Canadian and i live in southern ontario so my accent is quite similar to an american accent. i actually have a vid in my channel showing the accent. but anyway i was completely unaware that u guys pronounced the word leisure as "lezure"!! also you're really right about the whole "Germany is winning" I would never say "Germany are winning" lol and ya the "lezure centers" we would call rec (recreational) centers

  • (have 2 post another comment 2 coninue lol).... so if peaople know how 2 pronouce vowels a certain way they can try 2 say words that way and not have 2 ask how to say specific things. i dont know if anyone else agrees but i personally would find that helpful. also about the "i could care less" comment. i think it has 2 do with sarcasism, im not sure. i always say "i could care less" but it never occured 2 me that it didnt make sense. so i think sarcasism may have 2 do with it.

  • i think this is by far the only video ive seen on youtube that has actually helped me a little to do somewhat of an english accent lol. i absolutely loveee english accents and i always try my hardest to do one but i cant :( i end up making it sound horribleee. so pleaseee keep posting video, i would really like to learn how to do an english accent and i think u 2 could me. oh i think a way that u can help is if your videos u explain how u pronounce your vowels....

  • Thanks for these videos; I've been watching them to try and learn the accent for a short film I'm taking part in. Can I ask you to pronounce the following lines:

(I Need To Hand In My Project Next Week ) and ( We Only Have Two Days Left)

    Thanks

  • In america "leisure centers" are called "recreation centers"

As for groups in football, I believe that americans refer to the team (which is singular) while british refer to the individual players (plural)

When americans say "I could care less" it is usually said in a sarcastic tone.

Oh, also, amiericans say "anti" 2 different ways: It is either 'An-tie'(long i) or 'an-ti' (short i), while in england it is 'an-tee'(long e)

  • if i watch yr vdo everyday my english might be better.. you speak so fast! :D

    i like it. thanks.

how do you say Mayonnaise ?

  • cool ,please make more videos like this , I LOVE BRITISH ACCENT ^^ im trying to speak it

  • You guys are awesome! I'm going to Liverpool and London in November! I'm from Vegas! We should be friends! :D PEnpals!

  • You will find that many things in America don't make sense. Now, I'm an American and I recently heard a disturbing proposition, do you (in England) have the soft drink "Rootbeer"?

  • @EchoLimaIndiaAlphaS Not as a popular drink, but we do as an American drink yeah, you can get hold of it.

  • @muppetmadness never a finer drink had ever come out of the sasssafras tree.

  • @muppetmadness You guys look younger in this video... than your "Re: How to Speak With a British Accent : Britis
