@Kobzar3374 It's great that you share my view of this performance! thank you! The only "bad thing" about Vadim's interpretation is - I cannot enjoy Gilels' any more the way I used to :-( Now his playing of this piece seems to me "cold", a little speeded up at times, a little artificial and unnatural, though very masterful, of course. But Horowitz' is certainly my other favourite performance of this piece: well, it is - "legendary", and this word speaks for itself. Cheers.
BRAVO

Haunting. Has all the mysticism Scriabin wished to imbue.

@valseoubliee I fully agree: romantic yet so contained and noble. Those are the most adequate words to describe it.

My favorite Scriabin etude,(a lot of Tchaikovsky in it) and you play it very well with just the right amount of mournfulness. My compliments, Vadim!

Bravo Vadim, I hear echoes of Horowitz :-) You could not have chosen a better ideal.
Wonderful interpretation, great insight and sensitivity to this etude, imo Scriabin's best. Thank you for sharing.

Again I guess your inspiration is Horowitz and perhaps Cherkassky who often played this haunting piece as an encore. You play it beautifully.
