  • That was informative; sad, because I know he died not long after... and curiously uplifting. He really did have a way of portraying the "ordinariness" of kings and prime ministers, and the exceptional qualities of so-called "ordinary" men, many of whom were past middle age but had not lost their interest in life, even when their health began to fail. He was on loan to the world, and the span of the loan has ended, but it was a glorious run. I'm glad so much of it was recorded for posterity.

  • i do need to watch more of his movies .. i really became so attracted to his charm and looks and how adorable he could smile. and yes his last line is sad but so powerful. he indeed was allright and if i had been lucky enough to be his partner like trevor was , i would have enjoyed every minute of watching him perform and have my heart soar right along with him. cheers to you nigel wherever you are im sure you are on heavens stage.
