I think kelly clarkson is awesome. But just because someone points out weight gain does not make them evil. She been a hit with her music and has a following. She has this rock/pop image in our minds and you must admit that the weight gain is a little weird. If she is happy with being over weight then that is her right. Imagine what it would be like if axl rose got fat during his prime and shortly after. People whould say what the heck? hes an icon and thats not how a rock star looks?

They just flat out say she's fat, there's a big difference with pointing it out nicely and flat out just calling people fat. And I've seen her in concert, she isn't even that big or over weight, she just seems like that because everyone around her is size 2. And if actually read the comments they don't care if she's a pop/rock girl, they just care about her weight.

Okay, I get why someone who doesn't like kelly would be attending a meet and greet. Usually they're the guys or girls that are tag alongs with an actual fan. But knowing that, why then would you treat that individual you don't care for as anything other than a human being? that's what gets me. I think that's great and she's a beautiful woman. Everyone should do whatever makes them happy. However, Jessica Simpson is no size 2. Not that there is anything wrong with that though. She's so talented and people can't see past small things such as ones appearance. It's too bad that talent is based on how good someone looks or how tiny someone is. Kelly is spot on! Bravo! I'm almost 50yrs old, and I'm 233 lbs. I'm grey hair and handlebar moustache is total grey. My belly needs more exercize and even at 5'10" with my tweed jacket and pipe I still find dates with women half my age. Men are often given points while many people deduct points for women. It's a terrible double standard. I'll admit I'm still a babe magnet and the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish help out too! ...and yes the car holds a weeks worth of groceries.

People really do need to listen to themselves when they talk and be more sensative to how other people might interprate what they are saying.

She's right. What they have to say doesn't hurt her, but it hurts countless others who aren't famous. Particularily kids who look up to stars like kelly and think they have to be "smaller" than her in order to be percieved as "beautiful" to the rest of the world. When this is not the case at all.
