  • Hey, I am a mangment employe and I SUPPORT CWA and all union employees. Believe me, I know how BAD the Healthcare ATT RATS provide is. Just for basic Ofc visits, my family pays $150+ for each basic Ofc. visit to the in network Dr. ( general praticitoner) GO CWA -show ATT RATS that they need to be fair and provide GOOD Benefits to the employees that made possible all the millions of dollars that the Company made.

  • (BearCreek Part two) You are aware that the telephone companies upper management are trying to relieve some of the CWA workers from their jobs, due to the economy and are "clamping down," hence, provoking reasons for such where entrapments abound.

    Thank you for taking the time to respond --but the truth is so. I am not sure if you have disciplined a union worker and while sitting across the table from the CWA shop steward, what do you tell him? That you support him? Do you really want the union to receive greater emolument raises to the point where your managment colleagues have to reciprocate for this and then being forced to relinquish his or her title and his dedicated tenure to a bunch of hijackers?

  • at&t earned 12.9 billion in profits last year, paid 33 million in bonuses to management, and as far as i can remember has earned a profit every year since 1982 and they have the nerve to compare themselves to the big three in detroit. STOP THE GREED!

  • EVERYBODY - STOP - LISTEN to ifilm2 - this person obviously has it together! Throw away those MBA text books (I graduate with my MBA in 5 weeks by the way), and manage with your gut! That way, all the other companies will out perform ours, profits will plunge, layoffs will ensue, and you will be out with NO INSURANCE and NO JOB! Stop listening to your union propaganda, and try using your brain. If the company doesn't succeed, none of us succeed! You get more than you deserve by a long shot!!!

  • So keep up the good work , this is an inspiration. I am from CWA Local 3122 here in miami. It seems we will be negotiating starting on July 19th on to the August 8th Deadline. I can only hope the rest of the members down here are as motivated as you guys up there. This video was really inspirational!!! Great motivation! Stand Together! CWA!!!

  • And make "fundamental" changes to our healthcare?!?!? Theres NO REASON why they would NEED to do any of these things and to the extent that they want to do them because they are not losing money nor are they headed in that direction. The complete opposite. ATT is a thriving and growing company , WE are making them money. The only reason the company wants to do all these things is so that executives get richer while we get poorer, that doesnt sound like a fair deal to me.

  • You see, if the company was losing money, NONE Of these demonstrations would be happening, because we all value our jobs and the company we work for, that is why many of us have many years invested into it. If the company was not reporting profits year after year in spite of the condition of the economy and it was going downhill, we would all sacrifice accordingly and understandingly so, But that is NOT the case. The company is making BIG BUCKS yet they want to Cut our pay?

First, ATT Is not only UVERSE and Cell phones, A lot of money comes from Wireline, dsl etc. So for the idiot who mentioned 30 dollars and hour and DIAL UP? Slam your head against the keyboard maybe something smart will get typed up the next time you plan on commenting. For the Depressed Premise Tech, if you hate your job so much as it sounds, QUIT, If you stay then you like the abuse obviously.

    And YES if your ass is making 30 an hour on old ass technology, you need to move around so we can be paid,

    and NO at&t is NOT more than mobility, high cap, and uverse at this point. THAT is where they are looking to go...NOT toawards expanding Old ADSL

TFTs in Texas were offered the job and we all said NO, because we knew the pay, and bull$h!t that came with it, you all could have done the same. Unhappy with the job, pay, and benefits? THEN QUIT OR RIDE IT OUT WITH THE UNION AND HOPE FOR THE BEST, JUST LIKE ME, A CABLE SPLICING TECH AT A PALTRY $8.50 BUT I GOT OTHER OPTIONS DONT I?

  • If AT&T management insists that worker compensation and benefits must be cut to "save" the company money, why, let's CUT IT ACROSS THE BOARD! Cut the MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in compensation and benefits to management and executives, too. DEAL?

  • A "fair" contract is one that lets BOTH WORKERS and MANAGEMENT share in the fruits of AT&T's success. The retrogressive cutbacks that MANAGEMENT is requiring of us WORKERS (represented by CWA) is not only UNFAIR, but CRUEL. How is $40K - $70K a year per employee too much to ask when we provide industry-leading service and support in all technological spheres, and our company is financially sound and thriving? How is company-paid health insurance too much to ask when management enjoys EVEN MORE?

They are not even WORRED about AT&T telling Uverse workers they cant go home till ALL work is done..NEVER knowing when You get to go home or when your days off are! No pensions! No lunch if scheduled for 8 hours. 30 min lunch. GPS questions in MASS, Supervisors Show up on your job MONTHLY, and YOU RICH ASSES are worried about HEALTHCARE?! You guys are gonna screw US for it!

Through HARD-FOUGHT UNION REPRESENTATION AND NEGOTIATIONS as is happening right now! So don't sit there and condemn the fight for HEALTH-CARE!     If you people are not striking for UVERSE workers NOT being core, and Mobility workers. then you are clueless. THIS angers me..THE CRAP union is not even PAYING ATTENTION to the fact that UVERSE workers starting pay is ONE DOLLAR over minimum wage!!! THEy yell Health care.

ANYONE that is fighting for their Dial up job is clueless. if you are striking for benefit issues yet you make 30 an hour, YOU DONT GET IT... you peiople need to be striking for the low pay of the mobile and uverse workers. But i feel like you guys are striking for Yourselves and are ready to REscrew the non core people like uverse.

  • AT&T doesn't care about it employees. They are anti-union worker, anti-working mother, anti-women and anti-people of color. Randall Stephenson made almost 12 million dollars in 2008.

    The reason AT&T does push the wire-line business is because its government regulated.

  • How can they say revenue is down while they continue to shift sales of Core products toward Mobility? That is the main reason Mobility sells Core services. Orders taken at a Mobility store, at Best Buy, and now even via the 866 number are directed toward Mobility with CLEC like SORDs coming out to the field.

    For more than a year at&t has diverted Core revenues into Mobility. Even though the services are installed and maintained by the Core side. Never giving sales figures. Seems like fraud.

  • Don't let AT&T fool you! Of course wireline revenues are down, the company is PUSHING wireless and VOIP. Check the profits on those services.

  • i was very proud of all the members that came out yesterday to dallas from all around the state of texas. i am a temp employee and know that a lot of the people that came on my bus are temps too. we are ready to walk! in unity we stand!
