  • It seems there is a general consensus that this narrator needs to go. Lets hope NatGeo reads the comments.

  • what 's with the half a billion, millions, hundreds of thousands of years? Silly. Show me one of these fish in the process of evolving...or anything in the process, you can't do it. Each animal, bird, fish or whatever is unique & will only reproduce with it's own kind.

  • Yes, narrator is a bit on the irritating side. Sounds like Jodie Foster

  • dont like the narrator

  • so you refer to a whale shark as a fish but not a blue whale

  • Shark=fish. Whale=mammal. Fish get their oxygen from the water with gills. Whales do not have gills, and have to come up for air. It's referred to as a WHALE shark perhaps because of its size and whale-like diet.

  • Nature rocks!

  • Is this movie going have George Clooney in it, too? Not a bad trailer.

  • 1 word beautiful

  • new narrator please. =)

  • lol i agree... his or hers voice is so annoying.

  • i laugh on you

  • breath taking! i need a vaca!!!

  • ...did I really hear a reference to humans as a primate species?

  • "Primate" is a fairly large order which includes monkeys, tarsiers, apes, and a few others. Within the primate order, the "ape" superfamily includes 2 families, lesser apes and great apes. The great ape family include chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans, and humans. So yeah we're primates, just as much as we're vertibrates, mammals, and part of the animal kingdom. :p

  • sweet.

  • thank you for a thorough reply yet there are those who consider humans to be species outside of 'primate' : ) i was surprised by the classification : )

  • Yeah, I know, some people are insulted by specific classification, however we're classified as apes & primates for the same reasons we're classified as mammals, vertibrates, and part of the animal kingdom, which for some reason I've never heard an objection to.

  • I still had some fog in my brain so I checked with an encyclopedia to find you had for the most part called it : )

    Animal Kingdom

    class- Mammals

    order- Primates

    superfamily- Hominoidea

    family- Hominidae

genus- Homo (the Latin word for human being : )

species- Homo sapiens (again, Latin for wise human beings : )

subspecies- Homo sapiens sapiens : )

  • man that lava under water looked so cool.

i bet the people to get to do these voices are really ugly. why cant they get arnold schwartznigger however the spelling to do the voice. baaha i laugh at the thought

  • I laugh at you.

  • I have watched dog the bounty hunter and Hawaii has definatly got another side to it lol.

  • the guy sounds like he's gay... weird

  • is not a guy is a woman!!

  • I say: young male

the whale shark is a fish, just like the other sharks!!

  • amazing

  • a aw awe awes aweso awesom awesome awesom aweso awes awe aw a
  • Hawaii is great, but Jamaica has better commercials. I think it's because they use Bob Marley songs.

  • 0:07 look at the guy who does the filp!

  • haha yeah I noticed that, what a badass

  • ocean rules

  • lava in water is cool

  • The Whale shark is a fish, lol. Your thinking of whales being mammals.

  • Wrong. The whale shark is a breed of shark, not a breed of whale. Think about it, have you ever seen footage of a whale shark coming up to breathe? ;) No, they don't need to because they have gills.

  • I can't tell if the narrator is a man or a woman.

  • It's Candice Bergen

  • if its a man, he is pretty girly. i think it is a woman

  • It is.

  • Man does it matter?

sharks, whales,Fish all those creatures live in the Ocean. Turtles i would call different because they actually live ON Land.

  • 1:31 When I first heard about coral reefs as a child, I saw pictures of rainbow colored and crisp underwater paradises. This is not crisp, it is flat and dull

  • this is cool!

  • Whale Shark...Largest fish in the sea? Is that true? How about Blue Whales? Are they not fish or not large enough?

  • blue whale is not a fish. it does not have gills.

  • Exactly. Whales are not fish. They are mammals. Thats why they need to come up for Oxygen every so often.

  • Think when they have lungs full of CO2 and they come to breathe. It is no wonder they sound like puffing the air out. It feels good to get rid of CO2 and get fresh air.

  • Whales are not fish they are mammals.

  • but they swim in the sea

  • Breathtaking 2 :)

  • Did you see that guy doing a frontflip out of the sea. That was cool 0:06

  • Finding Nemo!

  • Mahi Mahi aka Dorado is amazing!

  • looks cool can't wait to visit hawaii

  • strange how these animals have been around so much longer, yet we are far more evolved

  • We are more evolved huh? Is that why we leave our young to die? Is that why we senselessly kill each other? because we are more evolved?? We are not more evolved at all. If you actually listened to the video you would hear them mentioning how many of these animals have far older ancestors than our own meaning they have been around longer and had more time to evolve. We are not more evolved, we are simply the dominate species.... for now.

  • Yes, i agree with that, what I meant was we are more evolved, as in more intelligent, capable of alot more, good and bad things. in some regard all other animals on the planet are ethically and socialy more evolved...in terms of thinking, selfreflecting, etc. we're alot further than they are

  • Prove it.

  • We are more evolved because we can distinguish cause and effect from things just happening. The only problem is that a large percentage of human beings are ignorant and short sighted buffoons only suited for politics. :P

  • the ability to distinguish cause and effect serves only to maintain our seat as the dominate species. Certainly the advances that set the dominate species could vary depending on a variety of circumstances, therefore our current abilities could be rendered obsolete through evolution or maybe a natural disaster on a global scale. We are not as infallible as we like to pretend.

  • sounds like these are narrated by jodi foster

  • It's Sylvia Earle, a famous ocean researcher.

  • Breathtaking :)

  • nice

  • Amazing! and beautiful.

  • I wish i could visit Hawaii :D

  • check that kid out in the very beginning... sweet flip!

  • beautiful and very nice quality :)
