  • Farmers vs. Ranchers.....then again if you dont have IBM in your business card ....you better learn how to hunt.

  • ABC = Always Be Closing

  • The Art of Selling Mainframes... !

  • Cool ,,, love it

  • The 1st 20 seconds bring back memories of our first global meeting (in Germany) for which which half of our US "Global" product managers had to get passports. And my colleague who used the company automated business card process to create cards for the meeting that he could hand out to our US colleagues - he changed his title from European Product Manager to Inter-Galactic Product Manager.

  • The best bits are the dryest. Love it!

  • does this remind anyone of Steve Balmer :)

  • david brent. haha

  • I was a part of a salesteam for IBM attempting to sell mainframe solutions to non-IBM users in the UK back in the early '90s. Our team tried to warn IBM then this was happening - it took a bit of time for them to hear.

  • It's like a barn, ohlol :D

  • I think this is hilarious!

  • Hey Robert, It's me MaryEllen this is hilarious...hey How about giving me a job I would be your A team for sure. Take care.. Uncle Donald and I watched tonight.

  • Well done, clever. I liked it.

  • So this is a fail attempt of humor. I get the punch line, but this video did not even show up to the ring.

  • @bryanfikes Nice metaphor.

  • this is stupid

  • I didnt get it, I have to go to a job interview for sales in 30 minutes... Ranchers an Farmers>?

another example of a Sales Manager thinking Lecturing is Leading..

  • American crap

  • there's farmers, and then there's ranchers...hahahahah

  • thats the best

  • The writer should submit a script to the producers for the TV show The Office. Same humor.

  • wow

  • Whoa, Bo Ho, u go, bro (-inlaw).

  • Funny indeed, but let us remind you the good closers will always make more than the hourly employees....Its a done deal. This is now a "service oriented country." You were warned prior. Maybe you were listening to your debt saturated family. ooooooppps no time to laugh now. Sales and service is where its at. Think about it. Nothing else will be able to facilitate old the American Dream.

  • haha, it reminds me of the office

  • I love the little guy in the glasses. He is not only handsome, but a technical powerhouse.

    Johnny Dangerously!

  • Wow, this is a viral advertisement made by IBM? That's pretty amazing because it's actually funny. I'm ok with more ads like this one.

  • Hey, this is a brilliant, subtle commentary on corporate sales!

  • you just got mentioned on slate dot com

  • Viral video, yuck.

  • I have not laughed genuinely at a YouTube video for a long time, this who series is sooo funny!

  • You must have to know them in order for it to be funny. I'd watch parts 2 and 3 but I'd rather spend that time checking out the deleted scenes from The Office season 2.

  • Stupid wanna-be The Office. Steve Carell's The Office is a hilarious re-do of the original. This is just stupid. Just say no to mindless clones. Get it? Clones? PCs? Hahahahahah

  • I'm buing one for my home

  • If the barn is fireproof, bullet proof,

    corrosion resistant, energy efficient

and built for a category 5 storm,

    you've got yourself a Sun.

  • This is only funny to people who spend too much time in sales... And where's Buck Rodgers when you need him...

  • The Mainframe,

    It's like a barn.

    Thank TDS for that one...

  • absolutely hilarious!

  • Great video - hilarious and amazingly professional. Nice job!!

  • "Amazingly professional" because it IS professional. These are covert advertisements.

  • thats not a covert advertisement..

  • Coffee is for closers!

  • funny stuff. I feel like I know all these characters.

  • This video is over the top... corporate self-deprecating humor at its best... and if more sales folks and their companies used humor artfully as done here, they'd connect more quickly with customers... again, bravo...great video!

  • I've made hundreds of sales videos for IBM and other multinational corporations, and this is one of the funniest I've ever seen. Great job Tim! Just like a barn!
