Thai troops 'cross into Cambodia'

About 40 Thai troops have crossed into Cambodian territory in the latest flare-up of a dispute over an ancient temple, Cambodian officials have said.

Hang Soth, who manages the site of the 11th , said the Thai soldiers had entered in violation of his country's sovereignty.

The temple and the land around it were awarded to Cambodia by the International Court of Justice in 1962, forcing Thai troops who had occupied the area to withdraw.

To avoid future problems, we should close down the thai entrance. otherwise, the thives still try to claim our Preah Vihear as theirs. We should ask investors to invest build a better way to Preah Vihear and all tourists enter Preah Vihear from cambodia side. We dont want another dispute like this in the future.

whatever the Thai take on this is, the hard proof evidence of Khmer origin is already there. The temple is built before the first Thai kingdom existed. So some few Thai are proclaiming themselves Khmer origin now to say it also belong to the Khmer of Thailand.

What ever the case is there is no need for us Khmer to remind of the painful past or bring up irrelevant history it only serves to create more tense atmosphere then peace.
