  • You have an Ayotte Kit!!! :-D

  • Yeah, Ayotte drums are awesome :-)

  • @Jungleritter

Ydna, your head is getting fat dude. Lol. Thanks a lot for your 'valued' lessons.

  • One guy didn't succeed the exercise

  • What happened to your old kit?

  • @jungleritter do you mind telling mw what kit was that at the start behind you?

  • Sure, that's a Ayotte drumkit, small sized kit, made for playing Jazz. It's a beautiful sounding drumkit. We're lucky to have this at the Academy of Music where I teach currently.

    Cheers

  • as always, very well done, Andy....Thanks!

  • You're very welcome :-)

  • this is awesome. thanks

  • You're very welcome :-)

  • Ouch! Definitely feeling the burn after this exercise!

  • Hahaha, how was Rock Am RIng, did you had fun?

  • @Jungleritter Rock AM Ring was really cool. The camping was loud, dirty and there were thunder and lightning storms two nights in a row.. The bands were really good and it sounded great.. In germany we only got to check out two cities, Koln and Frankfurt.

  • They are tuned for drum&bass music, a very short, low and dead note, that's how they fit in best in the mix. I usually tune them a bit higher when I play other styles.

    Cheers

  • Kit sound so good !!!!!!!

  • You ARE the man Andy, Once again you've come up another very helpful lesson. I still use the paradiddle around the kit lesson I learned from you months ago and it has dramatically improved my drumming skills.

  • It's nice to hear my lessosn inspire you to practice your drums, great :-)

  • Thanks!!

  • awesome, thanks Ynda. I'll add this to this warm up I use that I learned from Derek Roddy (doing 4 singles on each hand for a minute, then 8 singles, then 12, then 16, then a single stroke roll for a minute).

These seem perfect for when I'm warming up before a show on a practice pad backstage. Get my dynamics goin!

  • i've been waiting so long for the new lesson :)

  • I've been pretty busy the last two months. I have lots of ideas for new videos and hopefully the time to tape them soon. Thanks mate :-)

  • This is great. I've been doing something very similar with a simple paradiddle but I will definitely be trying this. Thank you.

  • thank you!
