Sure, that's a Ayotte drumkit, small sized kit, made for playing Jazz. It's a beautiful sounding drumkit. We're lucky to have this at the Academy of Music where I teach currently.
@Jungleritter Rock AM Ring was really cool. The camping was loud, dirty and there were thunder and lightning storms two nights in a row.. The bands were really good and it sounded great.. In germany we only got to check out two cities, Koln and Frankfurt.
They are tuned for drum&bass music, a very short, low and dead note, that's how they fit in best in the mix. I usually tune them a bit higher when I play other styles.
You ARE the man Andy, Once again you've come up another very helpful lesson. I still use the paradiddle around the kit lesson I learned from you months ago and it has dramatically improved my drumming skills.
awesome, thanks Ynda. I'll add this to this warm up I use that I learned from Derek Roddy (doing 4 singles on each hand for a minute, then 8 singles, then 12, then 16, then a single stroke roll for a minute).
These seem perfect for when I'm warming up before a show on a practice pad backstage. Get my dynamics goin!
You have an Ayotte Kit!!! :-D

This is great. I've been doing something very similar with a simple paradiddle but I will definitely be trying this. Thank you.
