  • Scott at :11 "ITH THAT"

  • Look at Rockapella now , only 2 faces are the same , and none are originals , Scott and Jeff are the only ones left from the line-up....

  • What the fuck was that at 0:11...

  • Comment removed

  • They are anything but lip syncing you dolt. The beat boxer is on the right and the lead singer pulls his mic away when he needs to belt. Anyone who thinks that this particular clip is lip-synced...whatever.

  • @curtraken

.....has little or no knowledge of mic control?!

  • Just not the same without Elliot and Barry- Elliot really is the one that made the harmonies sound amazing!

  • @MrNikezoomair100 Who wouldn't?

  • Anyone else notice what happens at 0:11? Hahahaha

  • @Finne116 What happened?

  • @Jessyleppert Umm, you didn't see/hear it? Lol watch closer...

  • @Finne116 They are Lyp-Syncing.

  • @Jessyleppert No, they aren't. And I was talking about the lyrics (that get flubbed). 0:10-0:12

  • I remember the old ad years ago and it NEVER gets old...this is what they call, "pure unadulterated talent" ...acapella in it's purest form.

  • 3 people didnt have folger's this morning.

  • @magnusprime10 They had Maxwell's House :(

  • It's an ad within an ad.

  • This is an amazing group these 5 always seem to blend perfectly..

  • i love that last second of that pop sound :D

  • kinda makes me want some coffee

  • he pulls a retard when he says "its that" he bites his tongue a little and it sounds a little gimpy

  • Wow that was amazing! so amazing that i did a folgers coffee jingle too:)

  • LOL HSN....what next. singing on the spanish channel?

  • @Nastc1 *sings* Donde Es Senorita Sandiegooooo? *sings*

  • Holy shit this was awesome

  • Scott always does that annoying microphone thing where he pulls it way too far from his face so you can't hear half of his high notes. Stop it Scott!

  • @rackfocus he's doing that to balance the sound, so that the higher notes won't suddenly stick out and sound too loud. part of his mic control.

  • @jeremyteocx A lot of other singers do that also when using a hand held mic. it's a fairly common way of making sure your high notes don't clip when they go through a mixer.

  • @jeremyteocx. I know why he's doing it, but he's pulling too far. (I work in editing, including sound editing). It makes it sound worse live. You can always pump up the volume in mix, but it messes it up live.

  • @rackfocus I think he knows what he's doing...

  • @v8killaREX. Really? Cause it sounds like crap. He pulls it too far, thus lessening the quality of sound instead of improving it. He may know what he's doing, but that doesn't mean it sounds good.

  • @rackfocus but you gotta remember theyre doing this on TV not a recording studio so it can also only be so great..

  • @v8killaREX Yeah he definitely knows what he's doing :) It's definitely something vocalists do a lot of. But he does pull it away much further than I usually see ppl do.

  • sometimes it's hard to hear but listen to this and just tryin to pick out the bass part....unreal!

  • This almost makes me wish I was a coffee drinker ;)

  • Now this is a shame. They were advertising their 3cd set and somehow hsn roped them into singing their Folgers commercial?????????? That is just so wrong!

  • bring back berry

  • Respect. <3

  • I love the tall guys face at 0:29-0:34 seconds..and The last part just right b4 it ends =)....made me smile forever!!

  • This is beast.

at 0:24, they all turn to the right, haha.

  • i love this song

  • i miss those guys.

  • Why? They are still around. Just search for Rockapella on the internet and look at their website.

  • I meant 0:10

  • I think he did that on purpose. (If he intended it,) it's a nice variation.

  • Comment removed

  • at 0:12 he sticks his tounge out and you can hear he screws up because of that. kinda funny

  • wasnt this in December 2001

  • OMG I effin love Scott's hair in this

  • There is something so inherently wrong with this group appearing on HSN while singing a folgers commercial while hawking their christmas CD.

  • the guy singing bass, looks like an animatronic from the old showbiz pizza shows

  • i love how in the beginning he sticks out his tounge when he say its that

  • I bet sean and the guy singing bass get so many chicks it's not even funny.

  • Yeah...except Sean is not in this video...you mean Scott, the blonde...and he's married with kids...

  • As is Barry

  • Who would have thought that singing about coffee would be this popular?

  • @rm1jagfan They could be singing about toilet bowl cleaner and I'd still love it.

  • @rm1jagfan

Next time it will be about tea!

  • @rm1jagfan and years later he would go on to write double dream feet

  • Best product jiggle of all time!

  • I don't even like coffee and I LOVE this jingle.

I'll always remember them how they are here, as this is the best group imo by farrrrr.

  • hey josh yawn hella funny!!!

  • whenever sean leonard goes in for a really high note, he pulls the mike away. he never did that before

  • This is a performance of the group early on. His voice was fine, and he still easily hits those notes live. His microphone techniques are just pretty wild. It's his thing, but trust me he still has that note with ease.

  • @rsanni SCOTT Leonard. not Sean

  • "ITH DAT DOO WOP..."

  • Wow. Unbelieveable.

  • BEST COMMERCIAL JIGGLE OF ALL TIME!!!

  • groovalicious

  • do it rockapella!

  • they are better in my opinion with sean altman...bring him back rockapella

  • what year was this ?!

  • at earliest 97 when Sean altman left at latest 2001 a year before Barry left the group

  • Do it, Rockapella.

  • Yes, the lisp helps the lead sing higher. Just as if you notice Barry at :18 drops hes head down before he goes to sit on the low note. Relaxes the throat and lets the full length of the vocal chords to viborate. I do the same thing to hit those low ones. And yeah, Rockapella is the best for sure.

  • Singing that well ACAPELLA really shows the talent in these men's singing voices. I have complete respect for anyone who sings acapella. I can't even sing with music let alone without! Rockapella is the best. LOVE THEM

  • This is the only song of theirs that isn't on iTunes but i really wish it was.

  • the lisp is so that he can drop and relax his tongue to hit the high notes

  • I love rockapella!!!! They are the best group ever!! Of course I would love to get a chance to see them in concert.

  • why the lisp on "its that..."?\

  • Little lisp going at :11, much

  • One of the few commercial songs that I will always remember. Ha, I can just imagine whistling/singing this song in 50 years and having to explain to my grandkids what the hell it is. LOL. Like my grandpa having to explain his "Oh, I wish I was a little cake of soap" song.

  • wow your funny!! very cool

  • ha, I love the huge p he puts on cup at the end

  • i lol'd

  • I these guys in my folgers coffie cup so i can here them sing all day (even though i dont like coffee)

  • Can't imagine waking up without Folgers in my cup.

  • i want to wake up to them singing this song everyday

  • That lead singer pulls some really strange faces!!

  • lol agreed

  • viral marketing almost

  • Wow, those guys are really cool...!

  • haha its not a harmonica its a pitch pipe hey does anyone know the chord progression for this song im t rying to write out the harmany

  • he sings that "flat" note the same way in the bethlehem performance i think and he doesn't stick his tongue out 0_0 so it might not be a screwup. not sure.

  • is it me or does he get his pitch with his harmonica in the beginning? 0_0

  • What?? They made that song too.. these guys are awesome. xD

  • Thanks so much for posting this!

  • :11 why does he purposely lisp it

  • wow good eye; didnt catch that until i read this

  • well he sticks out his tongue because he was accidentally flat on the "up" of "the best part waking up" just a second ago.

The lisp at :11 is a result of his tongue being out while starting the next verse

  • Haha.. Barry. I miss him. Also, Jumping into the previous conversation.. Acappella is a lot of fun. Some work, but mostly fun.

  • HAHAHA.

    you're welcome, Stehwan. :)

    honestly.

  • Thank you "itsALLmusicTOmee"! ;-) You took the words right out of my mouth!

...Scott Leonard is just gooseflesh :-)

  • flat my ass. this group is great!

  • you guys are absolutely ridiculous!

just because he doesn't sing it EXACTLY the same like he does in the commercial, doesn't mean he's flat, or off, or bad, or there's dissonance, or anything. and who are you to say he's "flat from the note he should be on". if anyone knows what note he should be on, i think it would be him.

they look at him in suprise?

they all look at eachother the whole song!

    it's called...having fun?

you go sing in an acapella group.

    and learn something about music.

  • I want Barry's singing voice

  • i love the way he ends with the hard "p" sound at the end lol. Its still good even w/ the screwup.

  • lol, thats not a screwup.

  • Didn't say it was. I was referring to the flat note that everyone else has been mentioning. I just wanted to add that I liked the way he did the "p". that's all ^_^

  • ah, i see.

  • yeah he does go flat, but understand his tessitura for all their songs hovers around middle c to tenor high c...so it's understandable that he's a bit tired

  • It's when he says "Pour Myself a CUP" On cup, he is flat from the note he should be on. If you look at the other guys on that note, the yall look at him in surprise.

  • I still don't see the blooper.

  • anyone with an untrained ear would not be able to pick out where he messed up just watch the beginning of the video scott just barely messes up the note right before he sticks his tongue out

  • he was like to hairs flat of where he needed to go. Not enough to completely stand out, but enough to make you go,"ooh, dissanance." Just a little bit though. With his high range, that could be understandable.

  • yeah for sure = )

"ooh dissonance" i like that haha

  • That's what being a music minor does for you.

  • hah yeah good call

  • actually, I think his name is john.

  • my bad, his name is scott.

  • yeah, he missed his note and instead of hittin gsomethign to mess up the shord he just dropped out and came back

  • "it that' lol

  • Sticking it out in his way of saying, " CRAP, messed up." even the pros have their blooper periods.

  • What does he do with his tongue at 0:11 ?!
