my number one hunting buddy went to Iraq and he was killed and i was shot in the arm but i still came home and still have my arm i have him in my wishes and prayers i don't duck hunt any more its to many memories

As a prior service mom with 1 wounded son back from Iraq and another still serving. I did 16 in the Navy. I have a granddaughter who is a little smart ass with attitude. I guess she got that one honestly. But she is wanting when she grows up to take grandma's and daddy's place in line to keep America safe and free. my dad left for iraq three years ago for 16 months and every night i would pray every night for him to come home and he did and he had almost died over there but the bullets went straight past his head and killed alot of his friends

@pandaman444 I agree. I have an aunt and uncle in the Air Force and my uncle was dismissed but his wife got deployed. the were going to get married on 9/11 but then the attack happened and she had to stay at the base. They got married 3 days later through the bars at her base

Saying goodbye never gets easy...My fiance has been to afghanistan and will be going back again this year. I'm so proud of him, he does so much and sometimes never gets recognized for doing it. Just thinking that he would sacrifice his life for me and for our country lets me know how much of a man he really is and why I fell in love with him in the first place. It's a hard life, but someone's gotta do it and they deserve all the respect in the world for what they do.

The other one is still over there he wont be able to be home for my birthday or his this is hard for me. I just want them to come home safe. I'm a member of the United States Army and I ship out for Basic Training (BCT) in the summer of 2012. My boyfriend does also. The only difference is that he's joining Active Duty first and then we switch off once I get out of college. I'm going to miss him and worry about him everyday even though I'm going to be in Basic myself. To all that support the troops overseas and also, the one's that support the ones like myself. The whole town was devastated as would you town if you go out to fight and die aswell. Are you sure you want to go over there after what happened to your other half as the same could happen to you.

My best friend is in the military. She hasn't been deployed yet but will be sometime soon....She's been away from home for almost 10 months now. I miss her so much. I've never been good at making friends and she was the first person outside of my family that I was ever really close with. We spent all day everyday together for 6 months. Most of my family has been military, as of now, my brother is currently serving in the Army, he's been to Afghanistan already but is stationed in Colorado. I love him and miss him a lot, I get to see how he is on Facebook, but it's not the same. He's been there for me ever since I was little, I'm turning 16 next month, and he's coming home next month, he's my favourite birthday present.

@pandaman444 I agree. I have an aunt and uncle in the Air Force and my uncle was dismissed but his wife got deployed. the were going to get married on 9/11 but then the attack happened and she had to stay at the base. They got married 3 days later through the bars at her base

Saying goodbye never gets easy...My fiance has been to afghanistan and will be going back again this year. I'm so proud of him, he does so much and sometimes never gets recognized for doing it. Just thinking that he would sacrifice his life for me and for our country lets me know how much of a man he really is and why I fell in love with him in the first place. It's a hard life, but someone's gotta do it and they deserve all the respect in the world for what they do.

I am the youngest sibling I got 2 brothers in the service one is leaving right before Christmas to head over to Iraq. The other one is still over there he wont be able to be home for my birthday or his this is hard for me. I just want them to come home safe. I'm a member of the United States Army and I ship out for Basic Training (BCT) in the summer of 2012. My boyfriend does also. The only difference is that he's joining Active Duty first and then we switch off once I get out of college. I'm going to miss him and worry about him everyday even though I'm going to be in Basic myself. To all that support the troops overseas and also, the one's that support the ones like myself. This made me cry . Me and my boyfriend have been together for 5 months, and he's been gone for 2 now ..The day before he deployed, he took me out to dinner, and asked me to marry him . I said yes . He's the one that's worth waiting for and listening to this song and reading the little story makes me miss him more and hope he comes home safe and soon . My best friend is in the military. She hasn't been deployed yet but will be sometime soon....She's been away from home for almost 10 months now. I miss her so much. I've never been good at making friends and she was the first person outside of my family that I was ever really close with. We spent all day everyday together for 6 months. Most of my family has been military, as of now, my brother is currently serving in the Army, he's been to Afghanistan already but is stationed in Colorado. I love him and miss him a lot, I get to see how he is on Facebook, but it's not the same. He's been there for me ever since I was little, I'm turning 16 next month, and he's coming home next month, he's my favourite birthday present.
