What did you use to make the power transformer trash can things on the top. Hope you don't mind if I use some of your ideas. I'm doing a Frankinstein lab this year and the broken window idea I really like.
@YARDHAUNTER5 No problem, use what you like. I made the transformers using cut pool noodles (at an angle) and PVC pipe. Carved styrofoam for the strange holder. Plumbers strapping, model car wheels, metal strap and more mutilated pool noodles for the nit noids to help make it look tranformy. There's bullet hole stickers on one and a battery-operated strobe light in another. Unraveled manila rope stood in for the wires.
@easyplay015 It's a cut-up pool noodle (cut at an angle) threaded onto PVC pipe. Used car model wheels for the small nuts, a severely mutilated pool noodle for the large nuts, styrofoam for the weird side holder, plumber's strap and a metal strap to help add a transformy look. Used stick-on bullets holes, 220 volt sticker, unraveled thick manila rope for wires and a battery-operated strobe light.
@castrodanny It's a mixture of drywall compound and paint. 5 to 1 is a thick mix and 3 to 1 is thinner. I used 5 to 1 for the white mm and light rust and 3 to 1 for the rest of the colors. But it's flexible ratio so you can use what you like. The thicker it is the more texture but harder to roll and vise-versa for the other ratio.
Rated G narration: "This is like birds that have been hanging around and left their remains..."
The time lapse is always helpful, instead doing like a cooking show, where it's magically pulled out of the oven all complete. Using the gloss varnish idea, too. I heard that works well on blood for masks or static lifesize props.
Thanks so much. The green thing is a fluorescent skellie that is on a horizontal mover pneumatic rig. It pushes forward and back like it's attacking the ToT's feet.
Transformers: I took lots of pictures and video. Depending on how ahead I get with Halloween set-up, I'll try to get one up before Halloween. The weird-looking toppers are a cut-up pool noodle on a PVC pipe. There's a battery-operated strobe inside one of them for the flashing.
