  • Drive American, hickok! Come on now

  • NRA handgun of the year 2005 TAURUS 24/7, Try One You'll Love It !!!!! Thank You Joe S.

  • Burglar breaks into your house and you grab your glock... (Burglar goes "Really? a Glock everyone has one of those pff" lol. Love the radio show Hickok45 great work!

  • I just find it outstanding that he was allowed to upload a 40+ minute video here.

  • 33:16 Your car troubles remind me of Officer Hightower from Police Academy 1.

  • Glocks would be better choice without those damn finger grooves.

  • Interesting to hear your history with an HK93. I understand, and share your appreciation for HK rifles. Although I would agree with you they are a bit heavy! :D I am finally venturing into the 357 Mag world for the first time. Finding an appreciation for revolvers and lever actions.

Do you have any experience with Derringers?

  • its a bolt gun.

  • do you know theres a double action 1911

  • i have hear of the guy picked off the solders with his 1911.

  • Your comment of going against the tide/ current is a very solid defense of glock and the top dogs. I still love my 1911, but I wouldn't be against a glock. I just always shoot single action pistols, it'd be a huge adjustment to shoot a long trigger pull.

  • lmao look at the youtube symbol on the top left corner of the screen it says youtube 1911

  • RE:Honda Element. I was surprised that my son-in-law chose the Element. He's 6'3" and had tons of room compared to many other vehicles, so he loved the Element. I never knew it had so much room....and....I never realized that tall people have only a few choices that accommodate their size.

  • I think the mystery gun is the Mosin-Nagant

  • Haha, I should of shot the 1911 on new years eve for the anniversary but instead i shot a Beretta 92fs...

  • i think its either the M1 garand or arisaka

  • @hickok45 .... what was last weeks gun?? thank you...

  • m1 grand

  • That "sound of freedom" will be the first ones to take your guns away in a national emergency-just like the national guard did after Hurricane Katrina.

  • british .303

  • type 44 arisaka

  • Finding out exactly what you think are the best guns is part of the fun collecting fire arms.

  • when i am cooking, i listen to you radio show. LOL have people call in for questions

  • this is so underground.

  • type 44 arisaka

  • Not sure if you ever checked out mrcolt45acp's videos, it's like a history lesson, and one of the most amazing private collections of Colt automatics in the world.

  • i say the gun action is a mosin nagant

  • bolt action japanese arisaka model 44 carbine

  • sounds like the springfield M 1A rifle

  • 700 rem ?

  • Gun of the week: 1873 Winchester, and sounding like a heavy grain bullet...

  • Hickok, please please make your radio show available as a podcast. Your son is probably techie enough to figure it out. If not, head over to the Gun Rights Radio Network and ask for help.

    thank you,

    and have a great day

  • @Calum041095 Yay it was a Mauser:)

  • i heard one of our states has made an offical gun the colt 1911 i dont remember witch . but its offcially the first state gun

  • @whitey5238 It was Utah I believe

  • I love your song. Can you tell me who sings "Life is Good"? Thanks Hickock. B.C. Fisher

  • Any experience with or words of wisdom related to the .22 conversion kits?

  • On March 29, 1911, the M1911 pistol developed by John Browning became the standard-issue side arm in the United States Army.

  • Type 44 Arisaka, carbine length, no bayonet, grinding mark on the top of the receiver. Sounds like it is not your rifle.

  • @davidgcalderone lol you watched his new video haven't you.

  • AK47 7.62mm

  • Mosin nagant maybe?

  • What is your opinion would be the best 1911 to purchase for under 1000$. Springfield, S&W, Colt? thanks,

  • @MrHardPressed The best value would be a Rock Island Armory 1911 in my opinion. Made in the Phillipines on Colt machines. VERY good quality for $450 or less.

  • Arisaka Type44

  • @KDR11164

I'm with you on this guess. lol

  • Bolt action!!

  • I like how you have the times next to the topics.

  • mmm first vid I could sit through on youtbue that's over 30 mins Oo

  • Hickok, register at blogtv.com and start making LIVE reports about the guns

  • Glock

  • It sounds like a bolt action to me.

  • Hey Hickok , maybe u could make another vid of you shooting the series 80 colt again ?

  • @Acefearkiller , Stay tuned! It came to me in a dream that tomorrow (March 29th) might be a significant date in the history of firearms!

  • Great show, I always love tuning in!

  • M1 Grand

  • Marlin 44 mag

  • Mosin Nagant

  • I originally wanted a Sig P226, but after watching your videos, I got interested in Glocks. But I had to try them all myself first. I shot a P226, a Glock 17, S&W MP9, Glock 19, Glock 22 and I liked Glock the most. I should've shot a Springfield XDM first, but I already made up my mind and got a Glock.

  • Haha, It wasnt tuesday, it was Saturday! :) Great video.

  • @MacWarMedia Whops, I heard you wrong, yes it is tuesday I think!

  • hello Hickok, i owned a Ruger sp101 revolver .357 magnum and i was told by a friend that the gun needs a trigger job done..its that possible!! please let me know..i love your videos :-)

  • @kcjefes

Take it to a local gunsmith and let him look at it.

  • It's a m1 garand?

  • hey hickok45 i just got my 1st gun and it a glock 23 i like to say thank for all the vid you have done..i was on the range friday also for the first time and im in love with the glock now i was shoting a 22 i had to take a 5 hour class to get my gun (washington dc gun law) but just want to say thanks again for all the help

  • If i was being attacked by terrorists, i would go with my Springfield 1911 MC Operator. If i was being attacked by zombies, i would go with a Glock 21, considering how things like a higher level of stopping power from increased barrel length, and increased accuracy from a longer sight picture would seem to matter slightly less compared to a 13 round magazine capacity when 7 brain-hungry crazies are sprinting at you doing twenty.

    Overall, i prefer my Springfield.

  • M1A

  • What kind of repair did your element need? Was thinking of getting one. EPA highway is only 25.

  • I think its Hickock's 'Lee Enfield' No.4 MkII, in .303. I have one made at the Royal Ordanance Factory, Fazakerley - Liverpool England. A fine rifle. Hickock is an outstanding shooter, speed and accuracy wise, especially if you consider that those long shots he makes, out to 230 yds are made standing up, not lying down prone on good old mother earth. Remarkable.

  • hickok!! i really enjoy listening to your radio shows while cleaning my guns, it's really ok to keep your radio shows longer cuz i've got whole lot of guns to clean!!!

  • winchester model 70

  • Hickok, 45? Is that you?

  • Yup mosin nagant 91/30

  • "Show how ignorant you are" made me LOL

  • I love my Kimber Customer II. It's the bottom of the Kimber Barrel but it has been 100% reliable for me. My wife can shoot the heck out of it as well. I've been running all kinds of handloads though it without fail (Oregon Trail Led, Rainer Coper Plated, Hornady HP's, etc) and all kinds of factory ball ammo. I still have fun with my Rugers, Sig's, and Glocks, but my 1911 is my favorite large caliber fun-gun.

  • I like your vids and all, but what is up with the zombie thing?

  • I wish you were my grandpa

  • Bolt action.Hmm. M1 A or Mauser?

  • Comment removed

  • Maybe, just maybe..."everybody" shoots polymer guns and use blue reloaders because great minds think alike.

  • student's? are you a teacher or professor hickock?

  • @blm148 He teaches grade school

  • Sounds like a bolt action. Mosin Nagant, Mauser, or Enfield. I'm thinking enfield 303 no clue the model.

  • Gun action of the week has to be Hickok's 8mm Mauser 98. I could tell it was a bolt action, but he gave it away to me when he disengaged the safety. The Lee-Enfield safety is very quiet and i dont think you can work the action on the Mosin while the safety is on. At least I think I got it right :)

  • As a Brit the 1911 thing shouldn't mean much to me, but you certainly explain it well. What a wonderful patriotic piece of history it is. Damn I want one now. Options available? A 1911 shaped bb gun in molded orange plastic. I've got to get me to the US.

  • @lazaglider or a metal bb or pellet one which looks like the real thing, thats what i'm getting.

  • sweet jesus

  • Is the mystery firearm the Kel-Tec PLR-16 lol??

  • I watched a very attractive young lady of about 19 year of age review eye liner and lip stick, while sitting at her makeup desk, on her you tube channel.

I thought wouldn't it be fun to see hickok45 and her trade places?

See her review a glock 19, and him review skin toner cream.

    (LOL!)

She has a thing she does called "What's in my bag?" Where she shows and discusses what's in her purse, and she does not have a knife, gun, or magazine.

  • it would be great if the radio show is downloadble [or from itunes podcast] so I can listen to your show while commuting!!

  • trap door???

  • Thanks. If anyone has one stamped SAA from WWII my grandma might of rebuilt it.

  • mosin nagant

  • you had great videos for a while , but i'm just sick of hearing about Glocks.

  • @Aricsspace My wife is sick of hearing about them, when ever we fighting I watch hickok's glock playlist in bed, and just let him shoot all night.

I am going to start going that with his raido show!

  • do you know what day you're gonna be at Knob Creek yet??

i fixn to make the drive from Illinois and i would cherish the opportunity to meet a YouTube legend.

  • Thanks for letting me know of Tom Gresham. I've been listening to his pod casts. Seems like a really good guy. He Has a lot of great topics and awesome guests. So glad I have been listening to your show. Between the two of you I'm in shooters heaven. keep doing all the great work! You are a true pillar of the gun community.

  • I don't know what it was, but it's not a Mosin. He wouldn't have been able to cycle the bolt with the safety on like he did. Pin wasn't loud enough either.

  • yeah I'm gonna say its a '03 springfield

  • Can someone give, a hint is it a pistol?

  • @drabzong . Sounded like some sort of rifle to me. :-) I also sensed some old wood and historic metal. :-)

  • @drabzong I haven't gotten to it yet (not that far into the radio show) but it has got to be the type 44 Arisaka because he did the last video on it..

  • @drabzong I haven't gotten to it yet (not that far into the radio show yet) but it has to be the type 44 Arisaka that shoots to the right. ha ha

  • 45-70 lever action

  • Gun of the week, Mosin-Nagant.

  • i was going to say mosin but im going to go with the springfield m1

  • Hey Hickok,

A: how far is the farthest target on your range

Cause i may build a range in my woods and did you need permission from the... do i need to ask for the police permission lol but seriously

B: where can i find the 1 1/2 inch steel plates

  • I may have just missed this in the comments, but where did you guys get John's series 80? Gun show?

  • Hey Hickok,

Gun Action: I'll go with Garand. You loaded 2 rounds into it and not a magazine. Big round hitting the floor (30-06 prolly dented the floor). Not many semi-auto guns let you chamber a round with the safety on. And you said "classic" at the start. Garand=mucho classic! Sounded like a long rifle round being inserted too. Easy trigger safety to use. I want a Garand!

  • Mosin, no b/c you were able to easily activate the safety. I think it is an Enfield .

  • Nagant M44?

  • springfield

  • sounds like its either you .45-70 lever action or your mosin nagant

  • i hope to see you at knob creek. ill be there for the machine gun shoot.

  • hickock is droppin jems today!

  • Hard to go wrong with name brands. They earned their reputation for a good reason.

  • Did the rental car company get mad about the empty casings rolling around?

  • I'm just gonna guess Mosin Nagant, but like you guessed I have no idea what model.

  • Gun action of the week: M1A.

  • 1903 springfield????

  • @TechSgtAdamsWrecks If you don't like it don't watch it. I seen plenty people make some stupid comments and guess what they get a thumbs down.

  • Great radio show. what do you think would happen if the rental people found out you were using this for shooting? LOL

  • Hickok, answer this for me:

Why are all of my "suggested videos" on your channel Gangster Rap music videos? Is there a connection I'm missing? Hehehe...

There needs to be a Hickok Rap.

  • @toobadsosad83 Hmmm, I wonder what suggested vids would be there if Hickok45 did a gun safety vid entitled, "Don't be one of those boobs with guns."

  • Marlin

  • While talking about the various differences in fire arms and everyone's own opinion. I have heard many thoughts on the newer guns that have the rotating barrel. I myself don't have enough experience or knowledge on the subject to say anything one way or the other. What is your opinion on the rotating or locking barrel system?

  • Marlin 44 Magnum

    Lever Action

  • Prolly an ak.

  • im thinking about getting a 1911 but ive heard some models are crap. Any advice would be awsome. thanks

  • @world74pker Personally I own a Rock Island Armory 1911 Full Size. I've had a great experience with it. There wasn't much tuning needed to make it very smooth. It's the Standard model, not the Tactical or Match. If you are on a budget, take a look at the RIA guns. I paid $425 for mine, I've seen them as low as $375.

  • stop freaking me out with your gun nut-ness! lol jk

  • m14

  • I figured you would be too proud to be seen in a smart car.

  • Hey Hickok what kind of grips do you have on that colt 1911 in the pic?

  • @Acefearkiller , Not sure. I've had those around for about 20 years and gave them to John for his stainless Series '80.

  • I reloaded 300 rnds of .40 s&w to shoot thru my Glock 27 with my Dillon Square Deal B while listening to this show.... Life is good.

  • gun action of the week= savage bolt action 308 or 30-06

  • Great show! Why do so many rail on glocks, if no one likes them why are they so popular? If they are so bad, why has every other manufacturer copied them? Just sayin!

  • @cmays555 People are allways trying to justify thier purchases. They put alot of effort into it,(sometimes they don't even know they are doing it)The glock is my favorite 9mm.1911 my favorite .45...just me

  • Hi hickok, I am a long time viewer, but this is the first episode of "The Hickok45 Radio Show" I enjoyed it very much, thank you.

  • is the corner of the grip ( in the picture) chipped out ???

  • @bushmaniacishere No, thats the way the grip is supposed to be. I believe the grips have that cut-out to allow easy access to the pin that allows you to attach a lanyard loop. I might be wrong.

  • Is this available as iTunes podcast??

  • i think it is a mosin nagant m91/59 for the gun action.

  • A good relaxing time at the compound.

  • Marlin 45lc

  • i think its a mosin 44

  • I still think you should put these on Itunes :) anyway, Another great video keep it up!

  • Comment removed

  • M1

  • there should be a pistol like the 1911 but shoots .223

  • @benadrylp theres one made thats chambered in twenty two thats great meld of the 1911 with cheap small bullet you should look inot that. its cheap to about three fifty

  • colt 1911 best gun ever

  • Great show yet again, Hickock. I notice some people asking for a podcast rather than a youtube audio vid. Just go to CNET and download a converter. Convert the vid to an MP3 and load it on your MP3 player. YouTube and Hickock get the hits and you can listen to it as a podcast...everybody wins.

    Keep up the good work.

  • M14?

  • I really think he should get another HK 93!

Unfortunately money dont grow on trees.

  • 1903a3 I think.

  • i give you credit for just being able to talk for 40 minutes, hickok you are a true entertainer.

  • Mosin Nagant

  • You should put some shooting footage behind the audio

  • I'll try to be at KCR on Saturday this April.

  • Just a suggestion, this would be awesome in a podcast format! Just something for you and John to consider in the future, really enjoy listening this stuff.

  • I got myself a 1911... scandium commander... with an external extractor.. and a full length guide rod.. It's close enough, right?

  • Driving a Volvo in TN!!!

That is impressive. Against the grain for sure.

Solid Tanks. Did you drive a 240, 740, or 940? Hopefully NOT a turbo.

My recently sold 240 had 340,000 miles and still pulled up hills no problem.

  • a bolt action...maybe an enfield?

  • Nice; I'm guessing Browning 1886 45-70 lever gun.

  • Springfield 1903 or Mosin Nagant are my guesses.

  • Thanks for talking about gun talk because i have never herd of it after listing to this i went a looked it up and i have to tell you he is almost as good as you lol.

  • MOSIN NAGANT?
