They changed her to a psychiatrist right after this, because she became Ridge's psychiatrist to help him get over his wife's death and help him move on with Brooke which was his wife's dying with. She wanted him to marry her.

Taylor always have got that 'attitude' I don't like! Like a real wiseass. I think now she's more softer, I do like her now better... HT is a beautiful woman but I'm sure not a fan of the character Taylor. Ridge and Caroline were fabulous and it was so nice of Caroline for wishing Bridge after her death. Taylor should have keep her distance as a Doctor!

Ridge's reaction is heartbreaking. I feel so sorry for him. I hate the character he's become - but during his short marriage to Caroline, he was wonderful.

But this scene is beautiful and I truly believe Brooke is sincere here. She really cared for Caroline, yes they battled over the same man, but wouldn't we all? We all want the one we love.

But in the end they became friends again, before Brooke found out Caroline was sick.

She's thinner, as you get older you have less collagen. I think overall Kelly has aged very well and is still very pretty; has probably had minimal things done compared with Hunter who well let's just say went a bit too far and it shows. She was pretty here but compared to now it's scary.

I think Caroline was Ridge's first love! there is no doubting that. However she has been gone for years and I think he was always in love with Brooke too from the moment he laid eyes on her. Caroline would want them to be together.

Caroline wanted Brooke to be with Ridge only because she was dying..and she knew Ridge loved her.. so it's natural...or better..Caroline was a great woman so unselfish unlike Brooke..and that's what true love is..to set free the love of her life..free to move on

I think that first night at the party, Ridge was hooked to Brooke through that one moment they locked eyes. But he was still in love with Caroline. However he does love Brooke, always has, and always will. Caroline has been long gone. His heart belongs to Brooke.

No one is saying Ridge never loved Caroline. I do believe that was his first true love. But she is dead and has been for over 30 years soap time. Time to get over it and move on!

This is a soap opera. So what if Ridge married Caroline? If they didn't kill her off, the writers would kept some form a triangle going...I'm sure Ridge and Caroline would have gotten divorced and re-married several times lol

Actually, between Brooke and Taylor, it depends. In the 1990s, it was Taylor...from 2000 to now, Brooke. In the 2010s? Who knows ;)

@carolineal since the re-write when Taylor came back? Yes, Taylor has been second choice. I think it is quite clear that before she died the last time, Ridge was happy with her and the kids and they had a very real and true love. She was not second to Brooke, in fact he chose her over Brooke many times. That is why Brooke tried to take over the company once.

Yeah, but I think it's safe to say she was the FIRST love of his life. IF she magically came back from the dead, I doubt Ridge would chuck Brooke or Taylor aside just for her...he has too much history with Brooke and Taylor now. Let's be honest, this might p i s s off a lot of people, but as much as I liked Caroline, she's become a footnote in the show's history.

i've always said Caroline is Ridges true love and i still think she is..although Brad Bell tried to make it appear like Brooke is Ridges true love in all these years. Ridge found with Caroline the complete love..that kind of love u live once in ur life..they were made for each other! ;)
