Im not sure if its from Sesame street or Nick jr. but there was this one where a black in white hand paints a little girl that comes to life, I remember she was wearing a red coat and a hat and she would dance with the hand, Does any one know this cartoon short?
I always loved this one and now I remember why: 1) I loved the music--very relaxing and thoughtful, and 2), I loved the concept of the rose being thrown to the guitarist below...hehehe..I can think of one guitarist I'd throw a rose to, if I could...but he's already attached...oh, well...:P
Another favorite! Now I'm beginning to see why I've always adored animation. Being exposed to real, cel animation as a child (I'm a child of the 80s), and seeing clips like this that show the real bones of art; these are only a couple of reasons why. They have to be!

Holy crap I completely forgot about this one until just know and it's totally amazing and I love it just as much as I used to *pant pant pant* thanks for posting it!
When I was little this was one of the shorts that freaked me out. I think it was the sound of the guitarist's fingers scraping on the wound strings. I was sensitive to noises like that.
@GabrielKnightz Me too. Years ago, I didn't know what I wanted to study in college. After lots of thought, I decided to do what makes me happy...what I've loved as a child. Sesame street is my very first artistic inspiration. :)

Does anyone know if the music in this sketch is from an outside source, or was it written specifically for the sketch?
Anyway, I like it -- it's a lovely chord progression. Someone should make it into a full-length song with lyrics.

not bad.. they should bring this back... and show that a picture is "constructed" not "drawn"..
after all, this is a nice way to show vanishing perspective

Fantastic deconstruction of art and I'm sure it helps kids enjoy it too.

this was a great way of exposing children to art.
