The public needs to be aware of Otis Elevator/United Technologies Corporations illegal behavior. In particular, attempting to provoke this caring and devoted father into committing suicide over my child care issues and then conspiring to obstruct justice in federal court against not only me, but in addition 4 other litigants/former UTC employees. Please check out my You Tube videos to find my website and genuine court documents.
Perhaps you should check out my You Tube videos to learn about Otis Elevator/Aircraft/United Technologies Corporations heinous illegal activities. UTC is absolutely ruthless as they destroy many families here in CT
Awesome video. You can tell that the doors have been modded through the years as new key holes have been made but that appears to be it. I like how there is still bumpers on the doors. The door bumpers on that elevator as well as most Otis elevators from that time period did not retract while closing causing them to hit each other when the doors closed. GREAT FIND!!!!
This elevator I would say is from 1954-1960. I have seen this model in many buildings in Washington DC that were built between 1954-1960. The best way to find out what year the elevator was made, go to the machine room and look at the service plate on the motor and relay panels.
Thanks Gluse, I have to say this is the best vintage Otis elevator vid i've seen to date. Looks like it dates back to the late 50's but it's still in GREAT shape for it's age. It even still has the good ol' NS/Non-Stop button which you don't find on ANY Elevators anymore. Which reminds me, I got my UNITEC Catalog yesterday and It's so cool how Otis still provides direct replacement fixtures for these vintage Otises.
An elevator like the one you see is a very big ticket item to maintain and replace. The cost of modernizing or replacing this elevator is between an estimated $800,000 to $1.2 million dollars depending on what you are doing. Elevator overhal and modernization is expensive considering this meant for commercial use.

This One is a Traction, since it's 4 Floors.

I'm guessing this is a traction elevator. Back then hydraulic wasn't as common.

There's a couple of elevators that have those same buttons at St. Francis Hospital in New York

Note that this elevator is way older than the 1980's. Most likely the 1930's.

I was thinking closer to 1950's or possibly early 1960's. See my video response.

I have a video of an elevator with thoes fixtures (I hope it hasn't been modernized) comming mid Sept.

I think it was made in the late 50's or the early 60's. It's like the one at YMCA Columbia.

YMCA Columbia can't be from the 50's or 60's. That building is from the 20's or 30's.
