  • This is nonsense

  • Bullshit, 80% of autoimmune diseases you're born with including ALL the major ones you listed...

  • @kerpatric I was born with my autism I know that. You are always going to find these people that want to blame EVERYTHING on one thing....Milk, Gluten (it is true that if you have celiac you should not eat gluten as it is an allergy to gluten) and everything else. Eat some fruits and vegies stop eating meat or cut down and take care of yourself. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and there are lots of people who think it is caused by a bacteria that is commonly in your body like ecoli.

  • I call these people snake oil peddlers, they have a cure for all that ails you LOL! Just by their book or vitamins or products and you will be all better....yeah right! They just want your money and people are stupid enough to fall for it. There is NO cure for some diseases we as a species are dying off due to what we have done to our environment. One little change in our diet is not going to fix all the toxins in our bodies, sorry, you dont get my money!

  • Sorry....buy as in purchase not by and "next to".

  • great video... thanks for sharing this... :)

  • This guy is spreading dangerously inaccurate information...who is paying him to say these things?

  • @utandaydar inaccurate how? this man has 30 years of verifiable medical experience reversing degenerative disease. so the question their for must be who is paying you??

  • THIS IS BULLSHIT UR TALKING ABOUT TYPE 2.. IM DIABETIC AND I DONT EAT DAIRY YOU DICK

  • @EJMUSICPRODUCTIONS do you eat animal protein? do you eat highly processed grains? do you drink alcohol? all these things can effect the way the pancreas works.

  • I know many exclusively breast fed children who got type 1 including my son who nursed for years and never once had a bottle.

  • @dejahthoris Did the mother's eat dairy? I'm betting they did - and the proteins/antibodies are transferred to the baby through the breast milk.

  • Susceptibility depends on your DNA/family med history & environment: what he said is true, but this was incomplete: will check library 4 DVD 4 rest. 4 me, LG was caused by GLUTEN (wheat, rye, barley and x-contaminated oats) and dairy proteins (I'm not lactose intolerant). 4 you it might be NSAIDS/meds, virus, stress!, alcohol, dysbiosis, allergies, parasites, sugar. Wish I'd never eaten gluten, dairy, SAD. I still eat meat tho. I'm healing. Get a lactulose-mannitol test for LG.

  • This is a great video. I made a video about Healthy Bones. Check it out! ;-)

  • This makes sense with milk protiens, however ever since we evolved we've been consuming animal meat have we not? How can it cause autoimmune? Is it just that they didnt have many incendences of leaky gut back when? It's only the case if our diet is otherwise bad or our cell wall is destroyed???

  • Please turn on Closed caption.

  • load of crap nothing to do with it no help at all to anyone

  • I love headveg, they care about peoples health, animals and the planet. Big pharma and the meat and dairy industry don't like anything that headveg says, then again they are not interested in peoples health, animals or our beautiful planet they only care about making money. I fell so much better especially on a spiritual level now that I don't have to put dead animals into my body.

  • For a couple dozen studies supporting this connection see: nealhendrickson . com/mcdougall/020700puthepancreas.htm Also see: ajcn . org/content/71/6/1525.full

  • @headveg Even the mainstream American Academy of Pediatrics Work Group on Cow’s Milk Protein and Diabetes Mellitus – 1994 issued this warning: "Early exposure of infants to cow's milk protein may be an important factor in the initiation of the beta cell destructive process in some individuals." and "The avoidance of cow's milk protein for the first several months of life may reduce the later development of IDDM or delay its onset in susceptible people."

  • To post links: put a space between the dots. For example: websitelink . com - Or, forward links via PM or feature on profile pages.

Great video. Animal products are unhealthy. Animal agriculture is unsustainable, and imposes massive amounts of suffering upon both nonhuman and human animals.

People should be more concerned with this, but perhaps nitpicking is a way to avoid the reality.

  • @headveg

This is a useless statement. It MAY be a factor in SOME people. Avoiding milk MAY REDUCE development in SUSCEPTIBLE people. I don't know what the American Academy of Pediatrics Work Group is, but by all means point me to the study and I will read it. Send me a personal message and I'll check out the study. I still don't buy this misinformation.

  • This makes NO SENSE. I am vegan. I developed type 1 diabetes. By this "MD's" reasoning, there is no way that I could develop type 1, and it should reverse. This guy is bad news...

  • @alexanator0 "Early exposure of infants to cow's milk protein may be an important factor in the initiation of the beta cell destructive process in some individuals... The avoidance of cow's milk protein for the first several months of life may reduce the later development of IDDM or delay its onset in susceptible people." -The American Academy of Pediatrics Work Group on Cow’s Milk Protein and Diabetes Mellitus – 1994

Youtube won't allow me to link to a detailed article...

  • @headveg Important concept is molecular mimicry. Dairy is a known trigger, but not only one. Also, process of destroying beta cells takes several years, previously consumed dairy could be an inciting event. Vaccinations and viral infections have also been implicated in Type 1 diabetes - if whatever foreign substance has some of the same antigens as the beta cells—the cells that make insulin in the pancreas—then the T cells can actually turn against the beta cells.

  • @headveg This study conclusively proves the opposite of what you're preaching. "A multi-centre, blinded international trial of the effect of A(1) and A(2) beta-casein variants on diabetes incidence in two rodent models of spontaneous Type I diabetes"

  • @alexanator0 really?? then why don't you go and start drinking milk and eating meat!! *Shakes head*

  • @alexanator0 I have seen studies that show sugar can cause type1 diabetes. also there are several toxins that can cause it.

Check out research done on type1 diabetes drugs. They have 2 cause diabetes in the labrats to test the drug, they use these toxins

My own theory which is not proven is that when someone eats so much sugar and a sad diet and your body is producing insulin too much. Too much insulin is bad too, so your immune system kicks in and attacks it.if there is 2 much in the blood.

  • @alexanator0 This would only be one cause of Type 1 diabetes. Any damage that causes your body to stop producing insulin will cause type 1. My dad got it after he nearly died of pancreatitis. Type 2 diabetes can be reversed by diet in the way he talks about, but type 1 is generally due to actual tissue damage. If you eat a low oil vegan diet (Not the same thing as just vegan) as advocated by Dr McDougall) it is still beneficial to your ongoing health even if it your diabetes isn't reversible.

  • @alexanator0 My child is type 1, I certainly understand where you're coming from.

The simple fact of the matter is we don't fully know why type 1 happens, period.

His message of eating a plant based diet is the correct message, he is a good Dr.

I pray something great happens with getting type 1 pancreases to once again produce insulin! {stem cell research} Lord knows, every type 1 has to endure way too much, Take good care!

  • @alexanator0 animal protein is extremely similar to a humans DNA, and that meat has a lot of carcinogens and chemicals in that meat, your bodies immune system will get confused and start attacking both killing red blood cells and causing more cancer cells to develop

  • @alexanator0 Im vegan too and I have Ankylosing Spondylitis which is also a auto immune disease. I suppose my Aspergers syndrome is the fault of drinking some milk when I was a kid too.....I was breastfed btw but did have some milk when I was a kid. I dont drink milk because they kill the babies to get the milk for the humans. People also eat veal which is the males that are born to milking mother cows. Soy isnt all that great either, almond milk is good :).

  • do your dvds have closed captioning or subtitles?

  • Have you ever wondered how much to eat every day? What if we are only supposed to eat 32 ounces of food a day? Many people are eating more than 10 pounds of food a day! Any scale will work, but I like the OXO. Good luck!

  • Please add closed captions on your videos for 22 millions deaf and hard of hearing people in American. It will benefit education for them.

  • what about vaccines?

  • @rui27marne. Beta casein (the protein that causes the problem) is an intrinsic component of milk, not something that is added or that is a byproduct of processing. Raw could possibly be worse in terms of autoimmune reactions, as much of the protein might be denatured (and rendered less dangerous) through the pasteurization process.

  • what about raw milk?

  • @rui27marne

It's milk proteins that cause the damage; organic or regular...no different!

Watch Dr. mcDougall's video : Perils of dairy on YouTube/headveg channel

  • Anyone with an autoimmune disease really should watch this.

  • @BitterGnome Anybody anywhere should really watch this.

  • yess, this was awesome!! Such rich information. Thank you so much for sharing!

  • excellent video
