you can still see smoke coming from the tires on dirt to. Once the track starts taking on rubber it will look like a asphalt surface in the groove. Look up scott bloomquist, i'm sure he has some videos with him burning off the tires.

The soft dirt at the top of banks is what you don't want to hit because then your wheel digs in and flips the car. and 48NascarAddict: It's all dirt, sometimes they cover smaller paved tracks with dirt, but it's all dirt or you'd see smoke coming from their tires...

well i meant to say tractor like tractors dont have roll cages and i have been all over the US to many different racing facilities and very few of them were in the middle of the corn field most of them are right outside of the town or even in the middle of the town at fairgrounds
