yep I ve been on alot of these anti depressants they all work about the same the best thing I ever did was lower the dose now how to get off this crap completely
Stay the hell away from ssri's and snri antidepressant meds!!!!!!!!!! You will never be able to get off these, the withdrawal is horrible! Don't believe the "need to ween you off" crap, that doesn't work. You will gladly sell your first born to buy these meds. The withdrawal is that aweful!
I used to take Dexedrine when i was younger, I was a lab rat for all kinds shit for ADHD, I stopped taking it around 16 i am now 25 and my symptoms are coming back bad minus the hyperactive, I recently have no motivation to do shit, depressed and in pain all the time, so i got some help, i was given prozac help some with anger and fustration, not much with depression, so the doc wanted to give me this shit, i am not taking it, she was unable to prescribe due to policy, so the search goes on
The side effect I had was drowsiness for the first month. It went away. It is minor. People should use caution to see how you can handle driving when you use it. Just be careful and you likely will adjust. I assume a few people can't adjust and will have to switch.
It made me so much better. I could concentrate and really be productive in my personal and professional life. Thank God for science.

I didnt care about anything I had no feelings, I got so depressed for a while, but as I was on them I partied alot drank smoked weed, and did extacy and cocain, and sex was wanted, it was a different feeling. :[ I hope it didnt mess me up but when i got off i was fine to get off, I just kept trying to get a higher sense of feeling , i was flat and distant from emotions, Now I am like always idk I am only eighteen and my mind always feels tired :\ im sick of everything lol sucks bad...

The meds brought me out of that and I don't want to think of what would of happened without them. When you're in that state the side effects don't matter...what's the alternative?
I suffered from serotonin poisoning while on Effexor which can be deadly. I also get extremely aggressive on Effexor which can be deadly for those around me. Side effects matter because some can be deadly. Alternatives? Shit you find an alternative drop me a message because I'm hyper-sensitive to all medication. At the rate I'm going they're going to declare me SMI and force me to take these meds then I'm dead ... the ultimate cure.
i hate this drug destroyed my teenage years at school. i lost all self confidence because for 4 years i was on this shit! i now have a total fear of meeting people
Thank you for that iformation. What you failed to talk about is the 'coming off' the drug. I have been on 12-20 drugs in the past and i have NEVER had a harder time coming off a drug. I was hospitalised for 6 weeks just to swap meds. It can be a real nasy drug to come off. There were times when I fealt as if I was actually dying. Be careful!!

Is it safe to use herbal stuff with this? Or any over the counter weight loss dietary supplements? Been trying to kick the 20 lbs. I gained off of combining this drug with Remeron. Running on a treadmill doesn't help like it used to....
like Relacore, appetite suppressants such as Dexatrim(I eat like a pig thanks to Remeron) and I heard that Ginseng helps with stamina and Ginkgo Biloba helps with memory and concentration. Haven't tried them yet but was wondering.
I've been on 225mg about a month now, it's been great for me. A little constipation and weight loss were the main side effects from this drug. My doctor has never heard any problems from people she has prescribed this drug for and said it is effective.
Feeling really nauseous from stopping taking it. I 'weaned' off it and all but it still seems to have a harsh effect on my system. It's been three full days without it in my system, I hope it doesn't last too much longer.
I take Effexor XL 150 once daily. Main side effects were some constipation and headaches for the first week(guess when the drug built up in my system). It's good for Anxiety. Will be sure to wean off it slowly when the time comes, good tip!

nausea is the biggest problem with this crazy medicine. Miss a dose and you will be as sick as a dog.
