  • he could have been there with the mjs if not for his injuries...remember him destroying pippens defense in his rookie year...

  • Penny's still a Hall of Famer in my book.He and Grant Hill could have been 2 of the best to ever play.

  • man when i was in high school wanted to be just like him and i was i played great ball all thru high school 4 years then blew my knee out at a gruation party break dancing

  • @74chitown how did that happen?

  • i made a new part 2 rare mix. thanks for watching.

    /watch?v=NTvUI-Uqvjk

  • @Domini478 First, watch your mouth. Second if you really knew your basketball(i c you dont), He was good for longer then three years. 4 time all star, gold medal winner, went to the nba finals, and was first team all nba. KNOW YOUR BASKETBALL BEFORE YOU COMMENT.

  • @afell11 He was good for 3 years because after 1997...he wasn't the same...

  • this guy should think about coachin

  • where yah at Penny ?...

  • Why is his number not retired in Orlando???

  • @afell11 He was good for 3 years dumbass..

  • PENNY IS A HALL OF FAMER

  • Penny would've been a top ten player of all time if it weren't for those injuries.

  • @TheBdavis231 ....no he wouldnt have. C'mon now, dont get ridiculous. He was my favorite player growin up, but at his peak hes not better than PG's like Isiah, Dwill, CP3, etc....thats just off the top of my head.

  • @flipgood89

Huh? He was the best player in the world in 1995. Not sure what you're talking about. He was Kobe/D-Wade before them. For three years he was ridiculous.

  • @TheOtherView ...best in the world? He was an all-star putting up 20 & 6 in his prime. Very good player, but dont let nostalgia elevate him into something he was not. A lot of his appeal was hype and playing with Shaq.

  • @flipgood89

I understand his numbers are just regular all star numbers (20/7/2 steals), (he also shot over 50% from the field) but recall that he played with Shaq and other shooters/scorers (Anderson, Scott). And those years scoring was down.

But forget the numbers, this was the guy who hit every big shot. He took games over when he needed to. I don't think it was hype.

  • @TheOtherView ....I feel you. He was a God to me when I was younger...

  • @TheBdavis231

    Very possibly.

  • Orlando Magic, put his damn number in the rafters!!!

  • tracy mcgrady is the new penny hardaway

  • Penny is not a hall of famer, but if he didn't have those nagging injuries he would have been one without a doubt

  • @pjmcray101 in his best years his name was simultaneously mentioned along MJ with popularity and ability

  • @coasteys I agree with u 100 percent. In the 90's besides mj penny was my favorite player. I was saying if he didn't have all those injuries he would've be a first ballot hall of famer without doubt hell he still might have been playing in today's game. Look @ shaq, grant hill and j-kidd they still balling

  • @pjmcray101 not even a question and he'd have rings on a whole hand by now

  • hall of fame or not - at the top of his game he was better than many in the hall of fame, for example Bob Cousy - how can u be from that era and shoot less than 40% lolz.

  • 4 spectacular seasons and 5 more solid seasons not hall of fame material but after da injury wasnt the same penny was def still holding his own 4 yrs later

  • is Penny inducted already?

  • well, I wasn't in watching NBA after four years of Penny's fame, sorry dimwitt..

  • @Domini478

oh yeah just like bill waltons 400 games he played out of like 1000 he could have lolz

  • dumbass, you can't go to the Hall of Fame with 4 good seasons...dumb nigga!!

  • BANG! nigga

  • he is a mismatch to anyone especially all the pgs. they too small for him and he was fast as hell too. and he got mad hops

  • U put Rodman on your joke team?? D-Rod is a LEGEND! The greatest rebounder in history, the man played great defense too.

  • Yeah man, some people just don't know what's good and what's not lol. He might be too young to remember the Worm!

  • Yeah!! 5 championship rings

    defensive player of the year

    two time all star

    THE REBOUND KING

  • and they better put him in the hall of fame

  • You dont have to be a dick about it and take so much joy in cuttin penny down...if he would have been injury free, he may well have been the best after jordan

  • While I agree that he won't make the hall of fame and that he didn't do it long enough, I gotta point a few things out. He was certainly better than "good" for 4 seasons. He was 1st team all NBA, and nearly MVP....he was GREAT for about 4 seasons. After the injuries, he was never the same, but he continued to be a good, solid player for another 4-5 years. He had a good career overall, injuries prevented him from being a hall of famer though.

  • He was GREAT in '96 only. Almost great but not consistently the rest seasons

  • @Kingjd87 Great rebounder but greatest in history? You forget the great Wilt Chamberlain. Bill Russell might have been better than Rodman as well. Rodman perhaps best of past 25 years though.

  • @bumpshack Rodman out-rebounded everyone during the golden age of bigs...

  • That team well....Sucks!

  • C: Chris Dudley

    PF: Bo Outlaw

    SF: Stacey Augman

    SG: Nick Anderson

    PG: Charlie Ward

  • lol......

  • PG:Pete Maravich

    SG:Michael Jordan

    C:Alonzo Mouring

  • PG- Penny Hardaway

    SG- Michael Jordan

    SF- Scottie Pippen

    PF- Karl Malon

    C - Shaq O'Neil

  • 1. Tim Hardaway

    2. Gary Payton

    3. Toni Kukoc

    4. Derek Harper

    5. Greg Ostertag

  • C-Shaq

    PF-Karl Malone

    SF- Penny Hardaway

    SG-Michael Jordan

    PG-John Stockton

  • oh sweet penny...i miss and love him......he was so talented.

  • C-Patrick Ewing

    PF-Karl Malone

    SF-Penny Hardaway

    SG- Micheal Jordan

    PG- Gary Payton

    6th Man- John Starks

    That would be my lineup.

  • Penny was like a SG/PG he wasn't a forward.

  • He was like 6'7" though!

  • Yea lmao, he was one of those tall little man type players like Magic or even LeBron (even though Lebron can play damn near all positions.

  • If I had to pick a starting five from the 90's, it would be:

    1. Jordan

    2. Reggie Miller

    3. Shawn Kemp

    4. Larry Johnson ( Grandma Ma )

    5. Hakeem

  • 1. Jordan

    2. Magic

    3. Bird

    4. Hakeem

    5. Reggie Miller

  • 1 - Jordan

    2 - Hakeem

    3 - Shaq

    4 - David Robinson

    5 - Carl Malone / Barkley

  • Nice list. Yea I left out Barkley and Malone. lol IDK how. But Shaq in the 90s was no where near the top 5, top 10 yes but top 5 No! Shaq came into fruitation in the 2ks. If I had to revise my list it would be:

    1. Jordan

    2. Hakeem

    3. Karl Malone

    4. Charles Barkley

    5. Penny Hardaway

  • ok, I concede Shaq. What about Robinson? - he was pretty dominant in the 90's. Didn't he win MVP a couple years? Also, how about them Sonics? Kemp / Payton! Their 'D' was absolutely ridiculous in the mid-90's.

  • Penny = Top 5 player of the 90s

  • Who were your other four?

  • 1. Jordan

    2. Hakeem

    3. Clyde Drexler

    4. Penny Hardaway

    5. Scottie Pippen / Pat Ewing (either or it don't matter)

  • kobe tell me how my ass taste
