  • Just wondering since your guys are are so similar to mine, when do you think they stopped growing (not really up, but widening/filling out) River is 6 and pretty narrow, the message therapist told me she thought he still had some growing left to do to fill out fully. Anyway just thought I'd ask what your experience with this has been? All your "cookie" boys look like they are doing really well!

  • @harasrebrag

Hi, thank you for asking. Oreo, Chip and Cookie Dough, the 3 of them are now 8, 8 and 7 y.o. respectively and this year has been the one when they have filling out the most. I was concerned with Oreo Cookie for he was still way too slim for his size and higth but not anymore. This year he has really filled out to finally look round. Cookie Dough has always been benefited with a great conformation, same for Chip-a-Cookie.

I saw your horse and he is really a beauty. Is he perch

  • @jdsosad I am pretty sure he is part perch, but I don't really know

  • @harasrebrag

He looks very much like he is a perch cross, where did you get him? i got my boys from a breeder in N.C. I understand most of these boys come from the Amish who are the ones responsable for the breed or Spotted draft cross.

  • @jdsosad The woman I bought him from got him at a trail riding place in NJ, but he hadn't been there very long, his mane was roached so maybe he did come from the amish. Anyway he is too tall for some of the other draft breeds, so best guess is perchx and that is what he was sold as, but I think she was just guessing too.
