  • who remembers this being on toonami??

  • its such a happy sound!

  • What kind of music is this and where can I find more stuff like it?

  • @Jekktis i think it falls under electro swing, i just discovered it myself ^.^

  • yessssssssss an swing classic!ninja tune´s masterpiece.original and houserhythm in perfect harmony!the original is hard to find and very expensive.you need a lot of money to buy the shellac.

  • Jesse Rose 'Night at the dogs" is a better version!

  • Moondog - Birds Lament is the original sample. Scruff usually drops Moondog, loops it and generally plays around before he deliciously blends in "get a move on". Saw him recently at Kendal Calling this year. Fookin loved every second. Buy his breakfast tea!!!!

  • @hatchu82 Documentary of Moondog is coming out soon, called "The Viking of Sixth avenue". Trailer to be found on Vimeo of you want to. Cheers!

  • I love the way theres just a random pasty

  • This was the source of the music in the 2003 Lincoln Navigator tv ads.

I bought a Mr Scruff cd with the track then.

When I called Lincoln's 800 # in Aug. 2002, to ask about the music in the ad, the lady said they'd had about a thousand calls asking about the music.

  • 80 people got left behind.......

  • @ThEOlSnAkEHiPs thank you too ... ^^

  • @ThEOlSnAkEHiPs Thank you too man ..

It is good to know the original before

hear a remix and i appriciate those who

make comments like that .. ^^

  • @civilwar4000 Actually this is not a remix. The producer -Mr. Scruff, to make this track used a sample from Moondog - Lament I, Bird's Lament. That's something called samlping. Google it to find out.

  • @premier000 tnx man .. i dont know much about this cind of music which use samples ... !! tnx again for the usefull reply of my comment ...

  • @civilwar4000 no prob man, i know this because i listen rap music and the all hip hop culture is based on sampling tracks, lately beside hip hop some other styles of music also start to use samples for making music. i just wanted to make it clear that remix i something completely different.

    peace

  • @premier000 I'd class this as a remix.

If it was sampled, I'd consider the base of the track to be different. He doesn't use any unique sections, every one is sampled, at least in part.

Musically, this might be wrong though. What's the official difference?

  • @molewizard And i still class this as a sampled track. go on Google and search for sampling. read what is and tall me about base line or whatever. in sampling you can use a part that's 1 second long, to whatever ex. from 5sec. to minute or 2. so i still class this as sampling. remix is something completely different.
