Thanks for making this available. Brought back many memories from the past. Memories of departed mates, good times and bad, love and laughter, and brought tears to my eyes.
Thank you very much. Ummagumma is one of their very best works, but I have no favorites, I love all their work.
Fantastic, indeed! Ron Geesin was a huge influence to Roger, as can be heard in many of their earlier records, particularly here on UMMAGUMMA and then on ATOM HEART MOTHER, of course (although the influence and wonderful weirdness can be heard in a variety of ways). Pure perfection; this video, this song, this everything.
Costfilms, you have made me re-experience my first time tripping on acid. A Pink Floyd cover band, called Think Floyd, played a lot from Ummagumma when I saw them live in Missouri at a hippie festival. That was one of the happiest nights of my life!! Sitting under the dark starlit sky listening to Think Floyd while others were sharing my exact mindset. It was a gorgeous time. Nothing can ever compare to that night. I wish I could stay in that night forever, but you brought me back momentarily.
Very visionary video. My older brother turned me on to Pink Floyd and their album Ummagumma, a rare gem. I still have the vinyl from the 70's. I wanted to buy it on CD some years back but it was like over $40. Thank god for YouTube and people like you who can appreciate conceptual music like this.
Great job! Loved the images. Most of all, the images enhanced the true Pink Floyd. Sid Barret was an inventive genus who took acid rock to its apoge. Too bad the masses discovered them and Sid went off his rocker.
I like PF but I think I like the video better than the songs in this case. BTW where did you find the footage of the bison wandering thru the tree plantation from 3.33 - 4:05?
The footage was shot near Mt. Scott on a indian reservation in Oklahoma. While shooting in the trees I heard a rummbling and saw a herd of bision move in to graze. It was quite a sight.
first time someone told me there was a pink floyd album called umma gumma i just laughed because i was very stoned at the time and now i love this album and have for over 20 some years
This is beautiful beyond words. First time I've really listened to ummagumma and it is so freaking beautiful it makes my heart hurt. I love your video as well, thanks for posting
it is called: Grantchester meadows. this is definied as the pastoralic era of PInk floyd, in which you have to seek deep inside ulbums like this and "More" ahd you'll find real pearls !!!
very cool video, ummagumma is one of my favorite albums form pink floyd! I had made a project for my university too about ummagumma and pink floyd. Thanks for sharing your photographic aspects are great!
Costfilms, I don't know whether this will mean anything to you, but my best friend (who introduced me to this band) died some months ago. Your video revives so much, and I simply wanted to thank you for your endeavors. Cheers from Ottawa, Canada.

No After Effects...just Premiere 5.1.c. Made back in 2000 before I ever even knew After Effects exsited. If only I had...that would have been great. :)

It's been thirty years since I took a hit of acid, but the thought of watching this while tripping is tempting indeed! Brilliant.

Ummagumma is my fave album tooooooo.
Love the experimental stuff they did, even though Floyd don't give ummagumma much credit... wich is a shame.
