Here around the steps:

1) install your games into you computer as usual if it is not already installed

2) download the programs that I listed.

3) once everything is installed use poweriso to create your virtual drive and cdburnerxp to create your .iso file

4) mount the .iso file into the virtual drive

5) find and click your game's shortcut and begin having fun :)

Good tutorial. Essentially taking the game disc after you install a game to your computer, copying those files from the disc to the computer, making a virtual CD drive to load it from, and voila. No more disc required, pack that puppy away so it doesn't get scratched/broken.

at first mine didnt work either... but heres what i did to get it to work:

1) mount the ISO file on the virtual drive

2) go to My Computer, right click on the virtual drive (for me its the F: Drive), and click "Explore"

3) Find the "setup.exe" file and double click it

4) reinstall the game

because i reinstalled from the virtual drive the game will now load no problem when i double click on the desktop shortcut

@TheDeath5987 Anything that can convert an ISO file to a virtual drive works. So yes, that and MagicISO. Though MagicISO and PowerISO are specially made to deal with ISO files. I've had problems with Daemon Tools when dealing with ISO files because it's not as specific it just mounts.

I followed every step, the game was installed, I created a virtual drive then used CD Burner, clicked create Data Disk, I dragged the files inside the folder of the CD, then renamed and saved and mounted to the virtual drive earlier, but why is still searching for the CD? am I missing some steps?
