@shintotz It is a panhead carbon fiber tripod. According to the spec, that tripod is not a compact tripod because of the panhead might be heavy. It is probably mostly use for studio photography or video purposes. I personally prefer ballhead over panhead because of the flexibility... The CX620B104 is a little cheaper and it is a ballhead (lighter too).

i thought that was my phone vibrating from the video haha. Anyways great review. I think for the price this seems pretty good. $39 on Amazon is why I wanted to look it up. Im no professional just need something so I can take multiple exposures for HDR images.

Actually, I got the same model Dolica AX620 last month too (March 2011), and the price was $39.97 at Amazon...plus shippment, for a total of $43.75. YES it was really a BEST BUY, and I never regret on getting one. This Dolica Tripod may not be as heavy duty as to some professional tripods, but looking into this..... this looks professional for an entry level photograhers.

I just got this tripod, but I got a problem wit it : the elevation locking collar doesn´t lock the tube that elevates the tripod, do you think that this is "normal" or is a manufacturing problem?

And I love the low angle form of this one.

great value at $37 dollar, ball head looks like a manfrotto copy, the build looks reasonable with useful features
