Hi. Englishman in USA hospital here sadly just upgraded to Diabetic type 2 WITH long lasting insulin.

For whatever strange reason always disliked water. A week ago saw the ad. For this product and ordered model 'penquin' (?)

I am hopeful to extend my life as water does NOT quench my thirst. Only now (after ordering online) am I seeing an excellent product.

Any pro's, con's, lessons to be learnt... Gratefully accepted. Thankyou Jonathan

Perhaps this question has been answered but, what's the best way to clean the bottle because it says not to use hot water or put it in a dishwasher... just wondering.

I have got the Stream model and it's awesome! I have only got one flavour and that is Coke but my mum is going to get the flavour sampler pack at Argos! :)

P.S If you are from America and don't understand this well enough then I come from England that is where SodaStream started! :)

$5.00 / 50 = .10 cents per soda (24oz?)

$7.00 for Co2 refill (Guessing 50 sodas per canister?) +.14 cents per...

$150.00 (start up cost) 2 sodas x 365 = 730 / $150.00 = .26 cps

H2O bill 480.00/ 1.31 per day (Guessing .05 cents )

clean up and maint... $10.00 per hour + .01 h2o + soap .03 (unless you use a dishwasher to clean the unit.) Total assumed cost of 1 soda is about .60 cents a pop. This is a little less expensive than than a store bought soda.
