@articulateperson I was one of the last airman stationed @ Greenville AFB. I took a pre-medical course there prior to moving on to Alabama. I was there from the first part of July, 1964 to September, 1964. The barracks were not air conditioned and it was hot. They would come around every evening and spray for mosquitoes. But do you know what, it was a great two months of my life. Are any of the old barracks still there? Has everything been flattened other than the airport?
