  • @dar1e08

I saw you went to my channel to stalk me. Congrats, notice I didn't give you a single channel view and can still respond. Also, stop with the n-word comments. We get it, you're racist and stupid.

  • I smoke too when I ride my electric bike, I enjoy it because I am still saving on emmissions =P

  • what is this crap?

  • The earth is fine......Volcano's are producing more C02 lbs. per volume in 10 minutes then 1000 cars could in 20 years...theres 1000's of volcano's

    Do the Math...

Its all a bunch of Crap...Everyone points there finger just to get 15 minutes of Fame..your all IDIOTS..if this is what

    you believe...Geesh..LOL

  • @JOHNCAZEY Volcano's are indeed producing more C02, all the more reason not to assist in the suffocating of life. Vehicles are much more widespread that volcano's that are erupting. Vehicles emit more than just C02, other chemicals present. Trees do not convert as well as you may think, they are also being cut. Soil being depleted is causing it to be less of a sponge. Oceans can only Sponge emissions that reach it. Go into a big city like New York, Air quality is rarely good.

  • @JOHNCAZEY C02 in cities has also been linked to infants improper lung developments in ongoing studies. Tell that to your children. Especially as new cars continue to be put on the road in Cities.

  • @JOHNCAZEY Furthermore, I point my figure at you John. Stupid johns I must say... You can settle with shit 20% efficiencies all you want because John, that is all you are good for. I, along with the host of this video will settle for 80-90% efficiencies because that's where humanity belongs, not your sorry ass, animal. =)

  • @knockxobile I'd like to see you design an engine with 80% efficiency, do you really think if it could be done it wouldn't have been done by now and that there are not people working on it? If anyone created a practical engine with a 80% efficiency they will beome a multi billionnaire.

  • @dar1e08 A lot of The electric engines are above 80% efficient. Go do some research. The electric motors have specifications on them you know. Some of these electric motor companies are rich, a lot has to do with demand.

  • Anyhow thank you for the inspirational video's and congratulations on your very tasteful conversions.

P.S. I've traveled all around the USA but missed the state of Missouri - it looks like a great place to live.

  • For a few years i was driving on Liquid Petrol Gas with a somewhat lower CO2 output than normal gas - Belgium charges 165 EURO extra roadtaxes per year for this.

Our laws regarding cars, safety etc... are so hopelessly outdated that registering a converted petrol car EV is impossible. Driving a kit car like your porsche is virtually impossible too. The only way is to build a kitcar, export it to the UK, get an MOT and then import it again to Belgium.

  • Congratulations Mr Marion.

I've now watched your whole series of video's (including the ones about the mini). I like the fact that you give all this technical info and, dispite the fact that i'm not a numbers-guy, all these fuel-elecricity comparisons.

    Very interesting.

Ever since i discovered Gav's EV conversion, i've been interested in doing one myself. Trouble here in Belgium is: you're not allowed to do so.

  • There's a lot of misconception on smoking in CA. You can smoke all you want, as long as no one else has to smell it.

Do you find the front engine/FWD and rear engine/RWD are more easier to convert and have a more efficient drive train design. I think a Miata or Eclipse would be easy projects because of the extra battery space. The 356 looks stunning by way.

  • I still like RWD cars. But if you are contemplating regenerative braking, they work much better with a front wheel drive car. And the traverse mounted transmissions are just really quite the deal. So for most conversions, I would say the FWD has a pretty stout advantage.

Miata's are quite popular for conversion. I'm looking at a Lotus Elise after the Mini Cooper - I've long wanted to do a mid engine car.

  • "No propects for gainful employment" ???

If none of the Big3 or the Whitehouse haven't hired you yet, come to CA and help me build an EV. I'll supply the beer.

  • I didn't precisely say I was WANTING any gainful employment, but if I was, I have no prospects.

If I did go to work for the White or the Big3, I am accustomed to working for single malt - not beer.

My wife is from San Francisco, but I think California is a no smoking state now, which is confusing if they are going to legalize marijuana.

  • @marionrickard They should ban car emissions before they ban the tiny density of emissions that comes out of cigarettes. Makes no sense.

  • fantastic video

  • Thanks for this series. You should sell this to PBS, even though Youtube probably has more reach. Really good work. I am now considering building a Beck Speedster EV. Never knew it existed. This could be a Electric Car building tipping point.

  • Lighting up a smoke in an EV - Your car doesn't smoke anymore which means now you can! Hehehe

  • So you caught it. Very good. Yes, my car does put out particulates, but only when I light it up.

    Jack

  • Love the statistics Jack. Nobody deals with numbers these days... just sound-bite conclusions. Great job.

    -David

  • You inspired me. You should be a film maker. Your my hero.

  • Great video

  • Great series Jack, and I appreciate your inputs over at DIYElectricar. Too bad you've got this troll randytool following you around. Did you run over his foot with your EV or something?

  • I asked him about that. He had a whole rambling diatribe by private mail about Ronald Regan, John McCain, and George Busch and how they had ruined the entire world irrecoverably and that I was a right wing hack and Obama was sent by Christ to save us all. I guess he took my light bulb comment in video 10 as an attack on Obama. It was pretty wierd.

  • At least he has a rational reason ;^)

  • great video marionrickard. thank you for a such an informative set of videos, your work is appreciated here.

  • Now there's a useful comment. Part of the intellectual elite come to visit?
