You can actually take the water elevator down and try to place blocks around the chest so its easier second time around. I'd also expand at the bottom to the diamond pillar. Diamonds is going to make your job alot easier for all the mining you would need to do. Diamonds + cobble stone gen makes this challenge easier. Remember you have a torch in the chest. A creeper spawning on you can be deadly

theres a chest at the bottem of the waterfall where you landed to hard. its got some goodies but for the cobble stone gen. you gotta make the thin wood blocks cuz they dont burn like the regular blocks do. but once you got the gen. its really easy cuz you got as much cobble you want an need to make briges to the pillers. just watch falling cuz some stuff once its gone its gone for good. :) i enjoy the D&D series always a good laugh.
