@06wraightm not sure how i missed this sorry for the insanely delayed response. and hells yea you should get ray or a sterling like this one! You really cant go wrong with a MusicMan instrument.
@xKRaZYxKiLZx well, thats a tough question. some would argue that its much easier to find a band in need of a good bass player since guitar seems to be a more popular. but honestly, if u can try both somehow for a little while (borrow a friends or something) id do that. you should pick the one that you feel the most. i know thats kind of a vague answer, but i knew the second i plucked my first bass string that i was supposed to be a bass player. play a few of each and see if 1 speaks to u.

Nice job man, this is a great tune. I actually still haven't taken the time to learn the whole thing, but I Love playing the verse. I do have a few suggestions as far as playing it goes. This song has A LOT of energy in it, and a heavy punky feel, especially in those slap verses. You're playing it... but you need to THUMP it to give it the right feel. Really bash those strings, put that punk feel behind it and smack that bass. same goes for the fingerstyle in the other sections. Good job though!
@Romans10Verse9 thanks joe, definitely feel ya on the play it harder vibe. unfortunately, if i play it as hard as id like, my input red lines and it cuts out. so had to trade some aggression for recording quality. thanks for checkin out the vid.

the only part I advice you to practise a bit more is the bass fill at 1:28 ..
